    I would love to see mod prices basses. Something like: Fender P or J bass standard; or a Rockbass from Warwick. A lot of people are looking for some great mid priced basses. And, it would be so helpful if you could make videos on that. Much love, man.

    Things that would make me pay 16k for a bass: 1. It sounds as good as angels chimes, even with a metalzone engaged. 2. The strings never lose tone, never. Ever. 3. Satan is the vendor that sells it for my soul. 4. It can buy food, bring me a beer, do my laundry and massage my shoulders after work. 5. It plays by itself if I'm getting lazy on stage. I'd have to mostly agree. To me, Fodera is top of the line when it comes to bass feel and in most cases tone, but the Warwick Jazzman is the bass I crave, man. It has that whole Warwick growl to it, but with a kick-ass low end to round it out. That's around $1,300 USD, and is 100% a "bang for your buck" instrument, which I'd take over this and many other Foderas like it any day.

I know the player is gonna feel A LOT more "free" to express themselves and put their ideas through when using a very well made instrument but, in the end, give John Paul Jones or Victor Wooten the $90 Harley Benton P and I will still hear John Paul Jones or Victor Wooten. So, please, let me laugh when I hear the $16699 NEW bass 'cause there is NOTHING that can justify that kind of numbers.

    I was dozing slightly when you switched bass's.....and didn't notice, which probably says it all. PS I've had 25 bass's over the years and learnt that Victor could make a Westfield £90 bass sound like an angel, afterall they are all just steel strings over magnets.

    Nice playing, comparison and everything, but I must say, when you played that fodera with a pick, I felt kind of violated... On the other hand, besides slight sound difference (at least on this video), main difference I ear is on fret intonation, specially on fourth string, cheap bass clearly needs a fret adjustment, and for sure cheap bass does not feels as the fodera. that being said, I agree with some comments here, fodera might be amazing, but you can find many 1000k to 1500k basses out there that sounds just as good.

    Andrés Galarza yeah I agree it’s definitely not a pick bass. It should be a crime to play it with a pick lol. But the finger tone is amazing. Still not worth the price though.

    Buy a decent bass and play it,knock it,dent it,tour it....all thats important is the music that you make on it. A cheap bass will sound great with a good player and an expensive bass will sound shitty with a crap player.

    The more expensive bass had a softer, more rounded sound to it, but that doesn't make the cheap bass bad by default. The cheap bass is plenty serviceable, and would be perfect for a beginner who's dipping their toes into playing bass. Honestly, the difference isn't so vast that I'd write off the cheap bass all together at all.

  • @marcelocoip7275
    @marcelocoip72756 жыл бұрын

    I didn't notice significant difference, i think the pickups and the strings (type and fresh) can make a lot of difference in sound than the other hardware in a bass. And you can compare the bridge pickup to neck pickup as if they were different instruments and think "oh the second one has a much fuller sound, the low end is awesome" I think a lot of people listen with the eyes. The quality on an instrument it's founded in the precission, durability and confort and it can take a lot of money because of the human work needed. Also the price positioning exits. I suggest you to make a video with a blind test of some basses/pickups/strings/etc...

    Fodera actually recruited Sandberg to do the relic on those basses, says a lot that a brand with a reputation like Fodera recruited Sandberg, although in my opinion their relic’ing techniques are the most realistic and the best in the world
