Ohh I feel you. I am from Denmark and I hate hate HATE watching the game Romania-Denmark 1989 when your country won and qualified for the World Cup and my country lost and missed the qualification. Oh and I remember I felt pretty sure we would qualify for the World Cup after we beat you 3-0 in Copenhagen. But little did I know what nightmare it would be on that Wednesday afternoon in November 1989 in Bucharest 😁

@Juve That 2-2 in Denmark 2003 was really a nightmare... After leading 1-2, Romania missed 4 or 5 big chances to score the third goal and qualify to Portugal 2004. Then, in the last minute, Romania had a corner and instead of keeping the ball for some seconds until the final whistle, Munteanu kicked it towards the Danish goalkeeper and eventually Denmark tied because of that big mistake.... What a pity...

Torsten Sandvei Romania won't qualify soon for any WC or EC again. The sad thing is that nowadays the whole Romanian sport is a disaster and things are going even worse. I don't want to say that Ceausescu's communist regime was ok, it did many good things but also many bad things. It is a fact though, in that period the Romanian sports won many world, European and olympic gold, silver and bronze medals. Nowadays Romania barely achieves a few good results in tennis, fencing, rowing and very little more. Why is that? Because despite the talented people, the Romanian work in sports is not competitive anymore. What a pity and what a shame...

@@torstensandvei4973 Don't forget about Yugoslavia (now Serbia and Croatia are the best of Yugoslavia), Czechslovakia (now the Czech Republic and Slovakia), the USSR (now some of the countries that belang to it), Hungary plus the GDR. The Eastern sports were VERY competitive! They are still competitive but less than before...

@@FOUDEFOOT85 Romania was better, without any doubt. In addition, N.Ireland did NOTHING in Mexico WC 1986. The same year in may, Steaua Bucharest won the European Champions Cup, almost won the Intercontinental Cup in december and then in march 1987 won the European Supercup, ONLY with Romanian players.

hi i liked romania , but u lost vs n ireland twice 9 points out of 16 not enough even if n ireland had lost in wembley and got also 9 points i would say 9 out of 16 NOT ENOUGH for example france and bulgaria got 11 points no matter other teams if a team isnot at world cup she must see its own game and not other teams

International Board, or rather FIFA, should never have allowed national teams from UK competing in the same qualification groups. This is bullshit and a distorsion of competition.
