I bought the car to JP in May 2010. The car is now in south of France (near to Marseille) I recently change the engine by a new one (2010 1340cc) It is a fantastic car !! I love it :)

the guy who spun in the red car was my old man,it was his first lap out on cold tyres. it is a pedrazza racing car and i dont think it would be so easy to pass if he was up to temp as that car is easily faster than most at trackdays. nice driving tho mate

shame I didn't actually see the mechanic fairies jump under the bonnet and reverse the gear linkage to make an upshift a downshift whilst I was touching 130mph down the straight,I often lie awake some 5 years later wondering how they pulled it off?? I try to convince myself that a faulty batch of Wiseco pistons failing might have caused the rod to come off but even after getting them examined by two engine builders we all concluded that no, it was the linkage Fairies that caused the failure.

Your video editing skills are improving jedi, but I am still the master! :D

excellent nice to hear its still going well, I fitted a new engine (2009 ) when i sold it to JP I removed the newly rebuilt 1550cc engine before I sold it.

FFS then you like others are also incorrect! seriously watch the video at 5.50 and see which way I pulled the gearstick pulling it back is an upshift!!!

nope when stripped engine the pistons all had hairline fractures around the gudgeon pins, manufacturing fault caused the damage, engine had only done around 17 hours!

That's a shame. The engine just locked up on my 944, I have yet to determine the cause. Of course that car is nothing like yours, but it's a bummer to have the motor go out on ya.

oh dear dirve fail, you down shifted instead of up and you wonder why it went bang! Plus you borred out a engine so close to it's limit. But before you killed it by the down shift it was soooo amazing!

Ive driven and raced becs for 5 years and I know which way an upshift is!!! in case you dont for a downshift would push the gear lever forward!!and if you watch after the corner i pull the lever back! if you read previous comments on this video there is a full explanation to why the motor expired in brief it was caused by a faulty batch of pistons.

hhhmmmmmm... I was told they had never come across this before and got no where with any goodwill towards the hefty bill !!

no never missed a peg, was piston failure, it cracked where the pin holds it and let go as can be seen :-(

Almost looks like you accidentally down-shifted then realized what you did instantly(when the RPM, and the con-rod, went through the roof), and then up-shifted, but it was too late. But I could be wrong.

id say you definately down shifted, just human error we all do it dude nice ride before the bang tho.

errrrr it was over 8 years ago and back thencameras were not like they are now audio and video quality was shite as can be seen

god i can't wait till i hit 25 so i can buy myself a really fast car and not have the insurance people taking an arm and a leg. can't they trust us men to be safe drivers???!!!
