This is an example of an amazing singer connecting with the right song and then going for it all, fully in the moment, nothing to lose. She is the song and song is her. And the crowd is in the palm of her hand.

Pay attention she is not following the orchestra.... She's leading them!

One of the greatest live vocal performances of all time regardless of genre.

Keep in mind she doesn't speak french. She had to learn this song phonetically. Keep in mind that she's attached to feeding tubes 22 hours a day. She only feels free 2 hours a day. She's had Gastroparesis since 9 months old. Also her development has been affected. She's only 4ft 8in. Her dad vico was in the audience with dark hair and beard dark glasses blue blazer white shirt. Emma's sister Sophie and her brother Enzo were sat either side of their dad. I thought having a tube in your stomach would affect the singing. But clearly not in her case. Sorry I know no reactor has agreed with me so far but she's already World Class

Yeah she's tiny. She's shown some behind the scenes stuff on IG, including her stage outfit. She's on MASSIVE heels under the dress. Apparently André had their "Dress fairy" (as Emma calls André's seamstress) make this one and two other outfits for her. It's also set up so her tubes aren't an issue when wearing it.

@@henryzhang6489 Not that I’m aware of. I have diabetes and some neuropathy. That neuropathy is affecting my vagus nerve, which in turn, controls my digestion (or the diminishing of it).

She is on a worldtour now with Andre Rieu. Look at MAX Kerstconcert to haer her sing Halleluja. Tanks for this reaktion on Voila.

Andre has taken her under his wings and there is no better or safer place for her to be. She is part of his shown and they are travelling the world. Due to her condition she can not sing a one hour show, but Andre, the master magician will take good care of her. She is the fairy in his Fairy Tale for grown ups show.

In my humble opinion, this is perhaps the best public performance of 2023. A star is born. Emma has a wonderful voice, a half-child, half-adult timbre that is a blessing for so many people. I wish her all the best for the future. Thanks for the nice reaction/analysis

I'm one of her massive quantity of fans. She's now on a World tour with Andre Rieu. Following her career

Here comes a tiny young lady, relatively unknown, she suffers from a terrible disease, its her very first time before a huge crowd of 22555 people. A giant world famous conductor beside you and a world class orchestra behind you. There she is, a small black figure, hardly visible from the crowd. She takes her bow, starts to sing and....literally commands the stage ! She just makes you transfixed, jaws dropped, and after leaves you in wonder of what you've just witnessed. She smiles, gives a hug, says 'thank you' in the cutest way and disappears. But André knows when an Artist deserves a second round of applause.

What a shining light she is!

Emma Kok is a vocal phenom! This song is so full of emotion the listener can’t help but she’d a tear or two! I can’t get enough of this performance! Anyone can sing a song, but only a seasoned professional can turn the music into emotion. Emma Kok is well beyond her years! I will be following her career for many years! Bravissima!!!

There's so much more! "Hallelujah," performed this past Christmas Day, and "Come Back Home," (just her and a mic when she was 14) are two of my favorites. She also did a fantastic job on Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You."

Absolutely magnificent 4:45 performance. At 15 y/o her key changes are 4:50 incredible. We will see her around the world. What a remarkable young girl with a tremendous future. Her strength, courage and love came through each and every measure. She brought it to my heart and soul.

You may like to check her video of Hallelujah, her talent is amazing.

This was her very first concert (out of 12) with the orchestra in front of a big audience (12.500 people). It went so well that conductor Andre Rieu invited her for his world tour (which is currently going on). There are some older videos which are quite outstanding as well, like her cover of 'Out Here On My Own' (from Irene Cara). There is a home recording and one for 'NL-MUSIC live,' both of them amazing.

Does she really sing like an angel? No, her voice is slightly rough, powerful, not yet fully grown. That is her characteristic! But that's also what makes the song special. A clear voice like Helene Fischer's, for example, doesn't convey the essence of the song. Emma has a fabulous voice, a voice with recognition value. I wish her every success in finding her way in music!

Her White Christmas was awesome. She sang the first half a capella. When the orchestra came in after the bridge, she had been dead on pitch. Just like Voila, she started the first three notes before the orchestra. She does not need any reference to know where to start. She could never sing solo concerts due to her feeding tubes. She has to be fed prior to coming on stage then again right after. It’s 22 hours a day of feeding tubes. But man what a voice. Also, due to her illness she is quite short. So now imagine lungs the size of a 7 year old in a 15 year old girl. That’s what we have here. She has much more range and power as well. There is a short of her in her room singing Bring Him Home. Awesome range and belting at there end. When she speaks Dutch, she sounds like her age, but when she speaks in English, which she is fluent, she sounds like she is 25.

Such a big voice from a petite young lady, we gave her a standing ovation last summer when we were at the concert, André and his guests do not disappoint, Emma was something special though. Tickets booked for this summer's Vrijthof concerts, this will be our third year going. My mother was a big André Rieu fan, my brother had installed a satellite dish so she could watch the European channels and that is where she discovered André and of course she shared that with me and I became a fan of his too. My mother passed away in 2003 without getting to one of his concerts and it took me a long time to be able to co-ordinate a point where we could go and that was with friends to the Vrijthof in 2020, our friends got engaged at the concert too. This was the next concert we went to of André's and so looking forward to next summer :)

Fun fact: Andre bought four dresses for Emma's performace. When he and Emma were looking at them, they both grabbed the black dress she's wearing here on stage. She leads the orchestra which carefully follows her. Magic all over. Due to her physical condition, she can not sing a one hour concert. So I assume she will stay in Andre's team as a soliste. The best and safest place for her to be.

She has the talent, performance and personality to be a big star. But her physical condition does not allow her to perform a 1 hour show. So to go on a world tour with Renee is the best and safest thing that can happen to her. She is his beloved star and he will take the best possible care of her. And she sings in 4 languages, who can ? And more will come, wait and see. So far the video had 39 million views, she is world loved and famous already. Did you notice how the whole orchestra is keeping an eye on her and how carefully they support her ? The story goes that on the rehearsals, it happened they had to start 3 times over. Hi Reneè Look at her journey at the Voice Kids (Her Audition with "Warrior", amazing). There she was 12yo. Goosebombs guaranteed. She is actually on world tour with Andrè Rieu.

"Voila" is originally much more "up-tempo", and Emma performed it like that on several occasions. André suggested slowing it down to a Walz, which is the version she mostly performs now. Also, Emma doesn't speak french, she heard the song on the radio, felt a connection, looked up a translation, learned the song phonetically (by listening to it on a loop and writing it down more or less as it sounded), and had a friend who speaks french help her with pronounciation.

There's loads of her on KZread now. From her Voice Kids days to her tour with Andre Rieu. And interviews with her show what a lovely person she is. She is absolutely a Sevant. Cursed with her condition but gifted now in her abilities. Long may she succeed

Its definitely worth to see and hear her sing during a Christmas concert Labeled X-mas also took place last christmas with a beautyfull classic orkestra in the netherlands where she sings the song of l.cohen in English on a very authentic sensitve way with a half way later popping up backing vocal group with her stitching out still despite her young age and fragile appearance . Partially caused by her disease because of which she has to be connected with two fluid nutrition pumps that insert this into her stomach and her darm. 22 hrs a day, to stay alive. Only when she sings on stage she disconnects them , which she ony can do whin the time frame of 2 hours , once a day.

Amazingly sad yet defiant. Thanks for introducing me to her.

Emma is an inspiration. To radiate so much heart and soul but also joie de vivre with her serious incurable illness is an inspiration. She shows the world that you can make a difference if you want to. I pray for Emma that one day it will be possible to cure her. Also its not often said so far bit she's had good vocal training with Cheryl Porter also a coach reactor where you can find younger Emma , great attitude practicing with a Cheryl on KZread. Emma's passionate work & coach(es)helped her master her voice too Maggie.. Cheryl has also coached Loren Alred & you can hear the growth in her vocals to between bgt & agt.. Loren is lovely, a worker too . Cheryl has a great voice, stage familiarity herself but also has a very warm passionate personality while still going through fundamental voice warming &: strengthening exercises with her students. You might have just seen the finished results but like your own beautiful voice, good mindset, good coach, practice with passion, there we hear..😃👏
