Iam an introvert,shy person and, also I have CBT problem, because of depression 7 years. Cognitive behavioral therapy. I can't face people, look in/into eyes yet. So people don't take seriously, underestimate, underrate. I know who iam, I don't care what people think of me, I believe in myself, I told you only. I like the way you teach, your video is beneficial, pragmatic, logical.thank you very much 🙏 🙏 🙏 carryon, continue.

Brilliant! Gracias! 1.We use up as an adverb to talk about movement towards a higher position, value, number or level. Is it a casual coincidence? Or we can transfer meanings to phrasal verbs? 2.Up is commonly used as a particle in phrasal verbs and means to move upward, to increase, to improve, to create, to fix, to complete. For example, Up in group #4 emphasizes what we do action completely. Then Is live up the same type of phrasal Verb : “it really lived up my expectations”? Who knows?
@yourworldinenglish
2 ай бұрын
Think of “live up to” as if something rises to the same level as your expectations. Usually, our expectations are “higher” than reality. (Also, “it really lived up TO my expectations.” This phrasal verb needs both particles.) I hope this helps! 😊

I should brush up on my english language
I need to brush up my knowledge in math and science English
I appreciate your authentic/enthusiastic lesson every time. Would you mind if I ask you to teach concerning a sentence. 6:57, "And this means to try to find information in a book or on a computer or phone only". In this sentence would the word 'only' modify only 'phone' or 'book/computer/phone' also? if I would intend to qualify certain word, would I enclose with quotation mark or there be any other method?
@yourworldinenglish
4 ай бұрын
Another great question! I would say that 'only' modifies "in a book or on a computer or phone." It's very common in spoken English to put this type of adverb at the end, especially if it's an afterthought (this means I added it later because I didn't plan to say this before). 🙂
