    Hey Alux! Recently Apple became the first US corporation to cross $1 trillion in market cap. Can you please make a video on 15 companies which are already worth a Trillion or will cross Trillion mark very soon. I am pretty sure that you will be able to justify it. Trillion is going to be a new benchmark for successful corporations in coming decade and I am very excited about it. You guys are doing a fantastic job. Kudos to you. 👍

    Hi Alux, I plan on starting a small business. By the fact that they pay for themselves in under a year I could, possibly, after the first two years, double the amount of vending machines every 2 years. In a career I never plan on retiring from I could buy bulk from developing countries and keep my items of high quality but incredibly low prices. For example I'll sell coca cola for 1 dollar a can like they did in the 2,000's. Those prices would create such customer happiness that they would demand these things everywhere, including their homes. I want every room or at least every home on Earth to have one. Airbnb alone has 7 million locations, and with an average profit post taxes and expenses of things like placements and labor of 35 dollars a month they might not seem like much now, but in a million locations it would be 35 million dollars a month in profit. Once homes have such things it could literally be 1 billion units. 35 billion dollars a year sounds good for something that starts as one machine and supplying it.

    I host on airbnb, the main problem with it I find is that some people expect someone's home to be like a 5 star hotel...not a person's home for a fraction of the price that they'd have to pay for 5 star hotel, which is where they should go if that's what they want!

    Hi Aluxers. What I like least about AirBnB is that it began as sort of a “couch surfing” type of format so that the tourist could travel more economically. While I appreciate and look forward to experiencing the super high end rentals some day, in our day to day lives, it would have been nice if some of the hosts would offer more reasonable rates that are less than a hotel for the same, private level room as a hotel. Also, one thing I’ve noticed is that AirBnB has drastically reduced the amount of rooms for rent for local, monthly renters. I would love to see a study about the displacement of local people with the expansion of the company. Sort of like how companies are made to do studies about environmental effects on wildlife before building a factory. I’m wondering if having these rooms for rent taken off the market has increased the homeless population because they can’t find an inexpensive place to live.

    Lauren Blaine BAM here in Dublin - Ireland we are living a big problem because Airbnb.. City is not big enough to accommodate everybody who lives here. Instead of find places to live you find airbnb everywhere. People are looking for places to live outside of Dublin, renting price is abusive expensive and salary is too low to find a decent place to live.

  • @RobinKiles

    @RobinKiles

    5 жыл бұрын

    Staying in Airbnbs solves the problem of homelessness to some extent as people don't need to provide a big deposit, show references or a lot of paper work to landlords. This makes it easier to find a place. Guests can move from place to place and are not stuck in a place for too long. Landlords are responsible for making them feel comfortable, otherwise they get a bad review. Attacking Airbnb hosts won't improve the situation as they just won't rent if there is no incentive or if they have to accept troublesome tenants.

  • @melvina628

    @melvina628

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@RobinKiles It would only benefit the homeless if the prices were affordable, which they aren't, and never have been. Any host renting at a low price is only doing a short-term promotion to get guests interested, and to get more reviews for their home. Once that goal is achieved, the host increases the price to match the market, and higher.

I love it but I have experienced racism on the site while going to Panama which was shocking because if your racist why allow your home to be on such a public forum so I think AirBnB needs to let the host fill out a section with persons they prefer in their homes etc or something because that was quite upsetting to have gone through such an issue.

Also, how do you vet an alcoholic, a deviant, or a slob? The host/guest reviews have become a quid pro quo system. So, it's rare to learn the truth about your host/guest from the reviews. Any insurance money directly from AirBnB to cover damages is only considered after the host has already paid out of their own pocket, been reimbursed from their own security deposit, and had lengthy conversations with their guest and AirBnB. I have personally been treated very well by airbnb and have always felt they were on my side. I've had a couple of bookings I wasn't comfortable with and they helped me get out of them without losing my superhost status. I have also never had any damage to my home. I think it's my area. ABNB is posing to be a serious competition to the hotel industry and governments are losing a lot of taxes because individuals who rented out their units as ABNB don't really report their income to the Income Tax Dept.🤔

    Im a airbnb host. I had some bad, rude and picky guest. That wanted a 5 star hotel stay on a beer budget. Some got nasty with me. Abd some tried to book one 1 oerson. But had 2 or guest cimming. When my ad said only can have 2 guest. No more. But mist my guest were anti soical and hide in the room they rented and never spoke to me. Which I am alway here when peopke book my room from me. I never hand over my keys. I let all my guest in and out. Other then that I love meeting new people from all over the us abd world. But some are to picky. And what airbnb wants yiu to provide is sometime a little more then over the top. Yes your in the hospitaliy fiekd as a airbnb host. But some guest are disrespectful or expect to much

    Anyone who still uses AirBNB after its first two years in existence is delusional. It is no longer the tight-knit, sheltered community that it was at its inception. Even renting to a celeb is risky because they have been known to trash your place, lend your house key to their friends without your permission or knowledge, and break your toilets and balcony doors.
