That's not true in 40's either. When you turn 55, you'll look back to your 40's and be shaking your head at all the ridiculousness. GROWING is a neverending process ❤ You will ALWAYS be able to look back

Self-forgiveness. There are so many years in which the weight of a mistake kept us just existing and not living, but not enough people know how to let it go... A-L-L of it. 💔

I'm currently 21 will turn 22 at the end of 2024 and ive been watching you aince i was 18, and I've truly learnt a lot, I've gotten to a place where i say, "if I'm not asked i wont defend or retaliate, if they wanted to know they would have came to ask me and not just assumed, but since they assumed im going to let them do it". Last year I made a purchase of a few pencil skirts and everytime I leave thr house i always wear them, I'm not yet working so i can only afford certain generic perfumes and I've been over the moon. ❤ thank you for being able to pour into our lives because this makes growing up a bit easier, stop making excuses and starting with what i have. May God bless you and always be with you❤

I am turning 30 on Saturday and this was much needed. It was the roach analogy for me! 😅I am having serious issues with my childhood favorite cousin and now I am turning 30 I see that I answered it also myself. She was my favorite as a child and now I finally feel “grown” and we are moving differently and she wants me to stay where she is I think and I can’t do that.

Just turned 20 a few months ago & I’ve been trying to gain as much insight on life as possible as I’ve been feeling ‘behind.’ I know there’s so much time to reach your goals but I feel like there’s so much pressure nowadays to be ‘young & successful.’ I wanna be able to achieve that sooner than later😭😫

As someone who has lived it, been there done that and bought the T-shirt, I absolutely love this video. The only thing that I am going to add to this is, if you have the opportunity to act in your own best interest do so. Don’t put yourself into a potentially dangerous situation, relationship, or lifestyle change. If it comes a time when sharing is something that seems like a good idea. Do not give people places things ammunition to hurt you. And hurt can come in many different guises, I’m not saying walk on eggshells for the rest of your life, but BY. Anytime you enter into a relationship or you join an organization or project or you start to make a lifestyle change take a second and pause and ask yourself. Is this going to hurt me in anyway? Is this going to help me in anyway. And just mentally start juggling up the pros and cons, the benefits and the drawbacks make absolutely certain that what you’re doing will always be a benefit to you. If that makes you selfish and other people, tell you that you’re selfish because you think this way, kick them to the curve. Get them out of your life as fast as you can blink, because that person will always be that Thing that throws negativity your way. And I do believe Dr. Nina has talked about toxicity. So many things can be toxic in our lives, and it is nobody’s responsibility but your own to get those toxic things away from you. And can I stress the hardest thing go to therapy. There is no shame in going to therapy. I go to therapy on a regular basis, and I plan on going to therapy for the rest of my life, because as I go to my primary care doctor, I need somebody there to actually help my mental well-being. It is perfectly OK to love yourself to treat yourself, and if that means that you don’t have a lot of friends, that’s OK too. Because I live by this one thing that I’ll never forget. If you have one real friend in your entire lifetime, you are doing damn good. You’re not doing just OK you’re not just doing, good, you’re not even doing good, but you are doing damn good. That should say something, because having one real friend takes that much so think of all the superficial relationships that you’re tethered to and ask yourself is this worth it. It’s what I do, and yes, I will gladly waive this flag proudly, I do not have many friends at all, and I don’t want them. I’m not a mastermind or anything crazy like that, but I can definitely say that friendship and having people approve of you is overrated. Nobody is going to love you like you are, nobody is gonna help you get to your dreams, and no one is ever going to, hold your hand when you fall down like you will. So thank you so much Dr. Nina for doing this absolutely absolutely love this video, and I will see you next time.

Excellent video and soo spot on. I struggled all thru my 30's bec I felt myself elevating and saw my friends potential and wanted the, to grow with me/spending Years trying to make things right but finally I realize that was incredibly unrealistic. Although I had the best intentions I should have just let them go! I'm incredibly selfless and that has hurt me alot so I'm learning to be positively selfish and standing firm on my word and actions. I'm still very kind, but I've learned I need to put myself first!
