No !!! Just strict rules to maintain discipline dubai is tax free nation where main source of income comes from tourism

Please remember the following three things as well: 1) DO NOT, EVER, try to bribe a policeman or any government employee. It's one of the biggest crimes in Dubai. 2) NEVER use binoculars (doorbeen) to see people on the roads or malls etc. Binoculars are banned everywhere except camel/horse/car racing arenas. 3) Even if you have a liquor license from Abu Dhabi or Dubai, DO NOT try to smuggle liquor into Sharjah and Ajman. These two emirates have COMPLETE PROHIBITION/COMPLETE BAN on liquor/sharaab/daru.
