Remember being on the train for the rovers intercooler game thinking "I'm at Upminster and I haven't seen another fan yet, am I gonna be on my own here?"

Absolutely wonderful Robert. My favourite all time season for so many reasons, and somehow I've saved all six episodes up for an absolute blast. Brilliant brilliant episode this one. Thank you. ♥️⚒️

Peter Butler and Mark Robson were under the radar signings who played a big part in getting us promoted. Shame Robson never really got a chance in the Premiership as he was a skillful winger. Full circle for Robbo now being our first team coach!!

Bloody ace Robert. I rated both Peter Butler and Mark Robson also more good clips of Kevin Keen an often overlooked and underrated player in my opinion. Billy ray Cyrus to finish off WOW. Have a good weekend mate COYIs 👏🏻👏🏻🤜🏻⚒

Has to be my favourite ever Hammers season. I remember us linked with the Yugoslav in pre-season and being a bit underwhelmed by the summer signings. Ah, little Robbo - so proud to wear the West Ham shirt. Terrific goal at Millwall. Never given a fair chance in the top flight. Old 'arry coming in changed so many things - no love lost between him and Tony Gale for some reason. Went to so many home and away games that season and hooliganism seemed to be seeping back into the game. Maybe I was just unlucky but I saw bad incidents at Portsmouth, Millwall, Leicester and Birmingham. As a 14 year-old it was quite exciting though!!!!! 😊😂⚒⚒❤

I think that the rave scene had started to lose it earlier appeal, and a lot of blokes were getting back into the football. Including the ones who used to have a punch up. I must admit that I remember it being a bit more prominent around this time, than it had been for a few seasons previously. Maybe a post Hillsborough lull as well.

Ah, the Anglo Italian cup. I was one of the fortunates who went to Cremonese, what an experience that was, but we lost very limply over there to the eventual winners. I enjoyed that season on the whole and I managed to get to quite a few of the away matches. What I loved about our support in those days was the spirit of them and us against the world, despite the shortcomings of the team and the low attendances. We could also be self deprecating and had the ability to laugh at ourselves, which is in stark contrast to some of the present day supporters.

My non league team has always been Kingstonian. I went to one of the strangest games, certainly of that season, when Kingstonian played at Peterborough in an FA Cup replay. Peterborough won 9-1 but the game had to be replayed again behind closed doors, because the Kingstonian keeper was injured by something thrown from the crowd. This was in the first round of the Cup.

Not been to WHU new ground and to be honest I have no intention of going. Upton park as we knew it was amazing. You got the sense the whole area around it was pure claret and blue and matchday stopped the world.

That was one of the worst decisions I've ever seen made in almost 40 years of watching football.

You’ve made a very wise decision not going over to the carpet right arena. The Boleyn ground and Upton Park will forever be the special place. Never forgotten ⚒👍🏻

Thanks again for another great episode Robert accompanied with another great soundtrack (well, apart from the last song - who bought that turd of a record? 😂). Low attendances were of no surprise at all given the ridiculous prices and the continuing Bond Scheme saga!
