I have all of those shells, except the shells from the Middle East. I think they are the jewels of the sea. I have alway loved shells, even as a child. Living here in Florida, I have them all over the house along with coral. They intrigue me more than anything in nature.

Sanabel is a regular beach for me. Well, Bowman's beach is lol. I did find a baby horse conch a few months back that was whole. That was when all the pen shells were washing up. And always find good lightning welks and fighting conchs every time I'm there. Also hit the Venice dog beach for shark teeth.

I also have shells and coral pieces ALL around my house. Totally agree they are jewels of the sea. Lived in the Philippines in the 1950s. My mother and I went to Manila to see the rare and $$$$ Glory of the Sea. A special opportunity.

If you find a shell with a living snail put it back to the sea again, why the snail is attacking is because of self-defense, have respect for the living nature and don't take home a living creature who belongs in the sea. If it's an over left shells you can take it home.

YES!!! Last year we took our kids to the very first vacation where we all were together to Hilton Head Island Coligny Beach 2 months before I had been searching all the dues and dont's Like don't take any live things you find on the beach which I already knew not to do that and I was thinking how cool would it be to find a sand dollar a dead sand dollar that I could bring back home?. Within 10 minutes of stepping on the beach I found a live sand dollar & ran her to my son who tossed her back into the ocean. Really hoping the one day go back and find a dead starfish or a dead sand dollar

May I share this with you, if you don't mind? The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. I hope you already know God for yourself, but if you don't know Him you can know Him today! Jesus suffered, bled and died to pay for your sins and mine, out of love for us! Salvation is in faith: one must realize that they are a lost sinner and will die and burn in hell for all eternity without Christ. Once we see ourselves, all one needs to do is repent of their sins, and put their faith in God: believe with all their heart that He will forgive every sin.. and ask Him to save their soul from hell, with all faith and all sincerity. If you have never gone to God and repented of your sins and put your faith in Him, now is the time my friend.
