The first sign listed is the BIGGEST one If you're trying to talk, and get to know a woman you're interested in, take a hard look at your text messages. If you're the only one keeping the contact going, then she's not interested. This may sound harsh, but at that point, you're just her filler for boredom. You know in the back of your mind that if you were to stop the initiation, you wouldn't get any feedback for days, if not ever. And if she does hit you up a day/days later, then she was bored at that moment, and just then thought about you a little. You're an afterthought, and not even on her radar my guy. I wish I would've known this in my 20s. Would've saved me a lot of time BSing. If someone is actually into you, you won't have to second guess it. If you have to think about it, then she aint it chief.

Moral of the story, the best way to start a relationship is through sex (one night stand). You put it perfectly into words, in fact so perfectly that I wish I saw this comment a couple years back. There was this chick I "befriended" but I realized that every time we chat online it had to be me initiating the conversation. After a while I realized this and decided to stop, so after weeks of not talking we finally ran into one another and she exclaimed we hadn't talked in so long, now I was kinda lost for words because in my head I'm saying "well shit you could've easily just picked up your phone and give me a shout" but anyways, I'm kinda grateful looking back I realized it would've never worked.

Some of us are old enough to remember the days where getting a woman's phone number meant you were halfway to home base. Now a phone number means absolutely nothing at all.

I must say that the first 3 signs you talked about are really the only ones I go by when I am talking to a female, with everything now being online dating or texting. Those are really what I go by and when I notice that the conversation is leading into or already as headed into the one word reply territory I just block and move on. That one word reply is a total pet peeve of mine when it comes to dating.

Is it strange that i already know all of this- considering i've never been in a relationship? I have a bit of a system for the first one. However long it takes her to text me I take that long plus a little extra to text her back unless there is a good reason for it. If it ever gets to a point where they are taking 2-3 hours to text back a few days in a row I just stop texting and keep it pushing. It's also important for single men to text as many women as you can. There are always going to be those bored girls that will half text and when you have other conversations going on you will forget about them because you've got others that actually want to talk to you.

Great stuff. I have found being direct about your intentions works the best. Being assertive and being clear about what your looking for can help with not wasting anyone’s time. Man OG I had a moment last week about this subject. I woke up to a Friend Zone text the other day. I knew it was coming cause her running text messages we’re describing another man (sign). I had to make sure my son saw this so he knew what to watch for. When I called her out about it she didn’t even realize she was texting me about another guy. She stated that since she was dating other people she couldn’t keep up with her thoughts... I had such high hopes but I had to put her on bench!!! Then she offered a some of her single friends... I was tempted to tell her to hook me up with two of them just for the runner up prize!!! 😂
