Slight update! A talent respec potion has been found in the game files, but as of right now nobody is sure how to actually get the potion. So talent respeccing is maybe a secret thing or maybe just a cut feature

@@DustinLittlefield they won't. PC got the short end of the stick as far as the early release but the PC modding community is already breaking through stuff and are getting me excited so much

i really didn’t expect to have this much fun in this game from wandering around hogwarts in the middle of the night opening secret doors and walls, planting and herbology for ingredients for potions and combat, underground dueling clubs, cool dungeons i just stumbled on..walking through dragons snare with nothing but the light of my lumos spell..and i haven’t even gotten my broom yet or touched anything about fantastic beast breeding or the room of requirement..i could go on it’s so much fun 😭 lol

Beast breeding? Sounds kinky lol. Nah the game is a lot of fun, my friend told me about it so I had a look at the game and decided to buy it I was pleasantly surprised and I'm only 4.5 hours in. Still unsure how long the game actually is but it's defo a lot of fun.

@paparoach8850 normally 60-70, but if u enjoy wandering/flying around, looking at details, perfecting your vivariums+room of requirement etc. and just take ur time you can add an easy 60%-80%

They were gonna have a system in play where you had to really use you're spells to sneak at night.

I'm just 7 hours in, and I really like this game! I'm not a big Harry Potter fan - I've watched all the movies - but I love wizards, castles, open worlds and fantasy creatures. And this game is a really good wizard simulator! Having a lot of fun!

@@mistermelancholy7698 Yeah, which is why I said wizard simulator and not student simulator. I would have liked if it was both, though. I would especially liked if the other students and professors had schedules, and didn't just stand around everywhere. And all the beds are empty at night.

Hogwarts legacy is such a great game so far. I'm about seven hours in and I'm loving it. All the people whining about it and shaming anyone for playing it just make me love it even more

The transmog system is definitely the best, and every game should have it. For me, it's the best thing DC Universe Online(the first time I'd seen it) had going for it. The thing I don't like about how it's implemented here is that you can't lock down a gear slot, so that it stays how you set it. And gear comes pretty quickly in this game, so you're likely to spend maybe 10 minutes in the look you selected before you find a better piece, then you're having to go in and set it, again. I'm sure they chose this so that people had to sample the options out there before settling on one thing, but it's an annoying chore.

I’m gonna try mapping spells to their corresponding Xbox button color. Red, blue and yellow. I’m not sure how it will hold up long term with more spells though. Early on I think that’s a good way to improve reaction time on Xbox, at least for those familiar with those buttons. So you see a red shield you press the red button for a red spell.

@@mainlyyogurt I’ve been on their controllers so long I would agree but early on when I was adapting to the Xbox those colors ingrained themselves in my brain. I guess it depends on the person but like quick time events that have the color of the button helped me when I was adapting to the Xbox controller at first. For me it’s not that I don’t know them but instead it’s more an issue of learning Hogwarts combat.

I started playing without any real goal except to enjoy the story. When my inventory got full of clothes, I sold them at hogsmead. Earlier I was going to buy some potions but I didn’t think I had much money, checked and I had over $3,500 in game. Selling off the lower ranked clothes is such a good and easy way to earn $ because you get to keep their appearances still. You don’t lose anything aesthetically, and you get back your inventory slots plus a good chunk of cash.

You don’t get the invisible spell “very early on” it’s like 5 hours in.. And yeah those are all good way to making money but honestly the best way of making money is collecting creatures and selling them

I’m currently playing it on the Switch and it’s so much fun! I think the key puzzles are my favourite but if you want to skip them you can turn it onto story mode and have the game solve it for you.

Wishing I ordered the deluxe edition, but it's looking like it'll be even longer now since they still haven't shipped my normal copy.

"Exploring the open world too early is genuinely kinda pointless." I was like level 20 before I got far enough in the main quest to do the Merlin Trials rip

Can only imagine the modding possibilities with this one.

I love this game even more and can’t get better

Discendo, then expelliarmus (make sure you have the curse talent for this spell), then Glacius, then finish it with Diffindo. Guys I’m promising you. This combo is S tier early combo and it gets better if have one level 3 curse damage bonus mod on a gear piece.

Another way to earn money in little bit later and sell your extra beast to tooth and claw or whatever it’s called. They sell for 120 gallions of peace, and you usually find at least four beasts at every beast location.

You forgot to mention that don't miss out on learning confrigo from Sebastian's side quest, because it's the better version of Incendio (practically useless after you unlocked Confrigo). Also always keep at least all three coloured spells because relying only on one colour spells like destruction category is not great.

On the difficulty differences: I saw several videos saying that "Stupify" breaks shields, but that doesn't seem to be true on hard. You have to manually cast a spell of the correct type to break it.

So I just started over as a Ravenclaw and found a video on the eye chest locations. After getting all of them in Hogsmeade and Hogwarts you should have about $11,000+. I literally did this and haven't been held up by any mission requirements since. Also having alot of money at the beginning makes this game stupidly easy and fast

I went through most of the game before I figured out how to use transmog.... I thought it was going to be part of the loom in the room of requirement so I was waiting for that to open up only to find that I could have been wearing that cool tailor's hat this entire time.

Yo, I did a full play-through without realizing the protego colors for my attacks. I killed all the enemies with 0 strategy. This replay is gonna be delightful.

Yo my curse build is legit so broken on hard, crucio bounces and chains against enemies and using offensive spells on heavy enemies.

Took me until near the games end to realise that revelio vibrates the joypad when it hits a page. It vibrates differently to indicate the direction and the delay indicates the distance. If you are close enough you can also hear a jingle which, with a good set of speakers or headphones, can locate the page audibly. I'm too far into the game to go back searching for them all but, next play through ..

Bought this and didn’t think i’d get so hooked. Currently 28 hours in..

i tried to do the hardest difficulty but that last cross wands fight was nearly impossible at level 11 with some basic stuff, will try to turn it back on to hard as the venturing seems easy mode now in the open map. got to the forbidder forest and a level 20 spider jumps outa no wheress

Was in normals and the lvl 20 spider happened to me too. Way too tanky and scary, but it seemed to not attack if I stood next to the ghost guy and so I could hit it risk free.

I played on hard from the start and THAT fight is literally the hardest part of the game, if only because it's so early on that you probably haven't properly learned the fight mechanics or controls, yet. If you persevere, the knowledge you leave with will make the rest of the game easier.

Owl letters not triggering was a bug btw. They are read out during gameplay now.

First 2/3 of my game, the owl letter red themselves to me... after that point they stopped even notifying me BUT I had the quest....

Forgot to try the settings if it is possible to change the controlls. Blocking\parry with triangle is something that i don't remember ever doing in gaming, and i'm seeing a lot of game over screens xD Square is a much better and normal choice

It’s technically supposed to be a “counter” similar to the Arkham Games or Shadow of Mordor/War. It’s a WB game so a lot of controls and things were carried over from their previous open world games.

For those that complain about easy settings in other games (cough dark souls cough), its very clear that enemies having different AI capabilities on hard in Hogwarts is a direct result of the Story mode needing easier AI. My wife has a physical disability and this Story mode has helped her immensely while I've been playing on hard. We have both benefited with the AI changes, another example of accessibility giving more options to everyone.

Yes but there are benefits to games that have one difficulty too. Its down to how the developers want to design their games. Not every game has to or is going to be accessible to everyone. You could make the argument about age ratings on games. If you just took this out of this game and make it universal for all then it will be more accessible to everyone. Then you have people who wanted the gore or the language or adult themes missing out. There are millions of games and they all have their audiences. Making everything accessible to all will severely hamper creativity.

@@charg1nmalaz0r51 only people who make this statement about every game don't have accessibility issues. Try being blind deaf or handicapped and let me know if you opinion changes. Being excluded from some great games doesn't feel that great when it's no fault of your own. And there's enough things in life you can't partake in already, why does a game, one that every aspect of is built from scratch, need to be so limiting. It's a lame excuse for alienating those with disabilities when all that takes in a ui item to Toggle the change and the ability to them set those enemies to do less damage. It's all simple variables in this case. It gets more complex when you want to add color blind options as you actually shaders shaders but no one complains about those being included and they shouldn't. A developer can choose not to include disability options and they have every right to make those choices but I'm not going to think highly of them for it (eg. Nintendo, despite their game

Disabled people aren't children. What an odd comparison. By this I mean that Child settings of they are something you can toggle also has no impact if you choose to not have them toggled on. The argument that it effects the whole game only stands of the developers choose to impact other aspects of the game. Which frankly if a developer was to let that happen they're not a very good dev. Making a game child proof, if it impacts the games rating would be bad, but no accessibility option has ever made a game PG versus MA only.

I don't have this game, as I am not into HP *games*, and I just don't want to start a new genera of game. However, you at least played it, and showed it, and it looks pretty interesting. Still not going to play it, I have too many other games I am happy with. Thank you though!! This is great, and now I know what it is like, and I know if someone else might like playing the game! Appreciate it.

Best way to make money is to sell animals you catch after you have looted a lot of those eye chests

I've never read the books, but I've seen all the movies multiples times. I love mythology and this game pulls off the magic "wizard" experience better than any game yet. The fact that it's in the Harry Potter universe makes it that much better. It's everything you wanted - quidditch. Hopefully we get DLC 🙏

if you liked the movies i highly recommend the books! it builds onto the characters even more and side characters get more love as well (and you also get peeves who was cut entirely from the movies)

Im ten hours in the game and still haven't learned to fly.🤯 it's so fun. Glad this game turned out to be as good as we all wanted👍 also I think the game looks way better with motion blur/depth of Field ect off. Hate any type of blur and camera effects in my games. Personal preference I guess

I’m on normal and I’m finding it too hard. Just depends on how it feels to you. I’m probably going to make it easier so I don’t die so much. 😂 I’m not too good at combat but getting better. But if you’re real good at it, you might like more of a challenge.

5:50 For PC, clicking both mouse buttons will skip the dialogue. The voice acting is pretty terrific, but this is a dialogue heavy game.

You do learn a lot though. I like the dialogue. Only if I have to repeat a mission do I skip the dialogue.

“Looking” is also a joystick. What’s your point? I tried both ways of combat and they felt pretty much the same to me. Just changes which joystick you use.

I think that's a bit of a missed thing there, breaking down gear and getting some materials. Not that big of a deal, just a minor thing. That's most of my gripes on the game so far, are very minor things.

The facial expressions seem very uncanny to me. They used motion capture to capture this, does anyone know if this will be fixed/tweaked? It kinda "Off's" me, for a glimpse their emotions seem natural, and a split-second later their eyes are derping. It throws me out. The fidelity of the graphics themselves are far beyond uncanny, but then the expressions makes it more uncanny. I would rather have PS3 graphics with shitty emotions than PS5 graphics with shitty emotions. Have you ever seen these hyper realistic dolls that has facial expressions? Their faces look so real, but their movements are so creepy and unsettling?

It annoys me that they do the whole run out of space BS. Especially since there is a purse the literally can hold anything (yes I know the Potter timeline is later) but I don’t see why it wouldn’t be around now in game.

@desertrose0601 31 hrs now, just hit 33. I basically one shot everything on hard mode bc I have max armor for my level now. Still get 1 or 2 shotted, but I can make as many potions as I need, so that's not a problem. Edurus potion talent is invaluable on hard. 20 seconds of invulnerability is just amazing

Someone said to turn camera acceleration all the way down and turn camera sensitivity all the way up. I haven't played without it so I don't know how the default one is, but this setting works for me

I don't think is really necesary, i just unlocked the RoR and i'm level 18, so i think we will be hitting the level cap (40, i think) before the end game, so i guess we will have plenty of loot to get. Either way, a first playthrough is always an experiment, i will left optimization for future characters

I get along with anyone who gets along with me. In short, I don’t care if your male female, both, neither, white or black, yellow or green and I don’t care about J K Rowling one way or another. This Shaming and snobby attitudes have reached new heights and is out of control. If someone offended you then take it up with that person. It runs iffy in my experience. There are random dips in the cutscenes and everyone says that inside the castle the performance tanks, but in my experience hogsmede tanks way more.

Some people view themselves as some Noble knight and Defender of the Trans Community and completely over step by thinking they need to shove it in everyone’s face and cause a big scene just so they can feel special about themselves. I don’t need to hear about it contains I don’t appreciate reviewers scoring this game at a 1 based on bias. That is petty and only proves that the reviewer cared far more about looking like the savior of the trans community than they did about the Trans community it’s self. I already have no problem with Trans or LGBTQ. I do have a problem with the so called Noble Knights so desperately looking for praise that they trash a game made by developers who are just trying to out out a good game. So when you give a game like this a score of 1 then what you really want to hear from the community is “ ALL PRAISE THE KING”. Cause in the end it’s really about you right? Not the community. We see you!

Just separate the art from the artist. Ignoring her is the best thing anyone can do. All this boycott has done is given her more attention and that’s what she wants. Get the game and enjoy it. There are transgender people that are buying and playing the game.
