@@ombelinedejunnemann1258 I was wondering when you would show up. Right off the bat, you go straight into your foolishness. Starting a business is a high risk high reward. So lets use that as an example. 9 /10 business fail within the first 5 - 7 years of starting up. When you start a business, it will require 110% of your time to make sure you idea become a household name. No families, no friends, no significant others, no fun and certainly terrible sleeping patterns with little to no pay. All of this requires complete sacrifice of your humanity. That not something women are into because women like comfort and securities with a somewhat predictable or guaranteed outcome. Which is why women (on a whole) do not start businesses. They will marry a man who have a fortune 500, a million dollars business, billion dollars business or even trillion dollars business. The hard work is already done. Either that or go in and use PC to get their way into the board. Yes there are some who will work their way by starting a business, those are the minors, the outliers, the exception to the rules, they don't count. You are the typical type of wamen who immediately goes into her feelings and not looks at the fact or validity of my statement. It is biology that men take risk and vvamen do not, after all, everything, and I do mean everything you take in comfort and for granted was built by men. First, second or third world countries, men built the luxury and comfort you get to enjoy. The only sexist person here is you. Trying to shutdown my comment and prevent my freedom of speech because it comes from a man and not being able to have a civil discussion like adults. Grow up.

Both of my uncles had their wives ( very intelligent , educated , working professionals) stood by them through hard financial times and affairs. They even remained husbands and wives long after their kids had left home for universities. However the wives have never ceased working even today in their 70s. Both men were semi-retired due to old age health problems when their wives divorced them. The wives spent almost 30 years putting themselves second to their husbands. They want to finally live their old age freely.

It is so sad to see this fantastic couple who had such a significant impact on the lives of many come to such a turning point. While I sympathize with divorce, I also understand the burden one has to carry, which can become overwhelming. When it does, the ONLY option to have peace of mind is for couples to agree on taking the D route because internal affairs will not remain internal forever; it will ultimately become external affairs. Thank you, ALUX!

When things don't work out, step back, rethink it and do it better. One example, I made it to the finals in the Pulitzer Prize, I did I win a Pulitzer Prize, nor was I selected as a finalist. I stepped back after that and realized that I should have exhausted all resources. The Pulitzer Prize online filling has optional categories which suggested that applicants upload additional supportive materials. I did not do it and as a result it may have played a part in my not capturing a Pulitzer Prize last year. I did not get anything published in an American newspaper for the year 2020. I will have a published work this year and by next year I won't over look those optional categories. Applying for the Pulitzer is a marathon, but I was in it running a hundred yard dash.

Regarding 3, from the public health courses I attended in uni, garnered that the B&M Gates Foundation has logistical support and infrastructure rivaling governments. Many in Public Health seek them out for funding over grants from governments, much less bureaucracy and dealing with people that get things done. As in globally tackling 5 major diseases simultaneously, exponentially reducing poverty, exponentially improving nutrition and access to water, while laying long term tertiary infrastructure. I'm no fan of the Gates, nor particularly knowledgeable of how they made their fortunes, but being real they've changed the world for the better with public health. For reference, dozens of countries struggle to even deal with one major disease in their own borders, getting to the rest of the list a near pipe dream.

Super interesting and shocking to hear those two are getting divorced. But tbh, 27 yrs is a long time. A lit of couples, billionaires or not, get divorced even before that or as old as these two. Older couples are just less likely since they depend on each other financially plus know they won’t have a lot of social interactions once you get divorced. Whereas if you’re a billionaire you know there will always be people around you you can interact with even if you’re old. Curious to hear what others think about this 🤷‍♀️🤔

  • @mohatomadibo1513

I totally agree. There are many couples that want to get a divorce but the financial implications are not favourable. They also probably have so many things under both their names that they just decide to stay. Whereas a billionaire knows that they will still have the finances and resources and even the connections after divorce. Imagine how many couples would divorce if the divorce did not affect their financial and social status. Not saying that every married couple is unhappy but we all know that there are those that are, and they would separate in a heartbeat if the above-mentioned were not affected.

I'm not a billionaire yet; however, I have everything protected through trusts in case she doesn't want to sign a prenup. She will be very disappointed to see what salary I pay myself that she would be entitled to... There's no triangle that good to bypass legal financial strategies to send her away with much less than a 5-figure divorce settlement without the house 🏠! #16: Divorcing is the fastest, most efficient, and legal way to suddenly liquidate financial assets without arousing suspicion of insider trading. If you suspect your stock portfolio or property values are about to crash, it may be advantageous to sell them before they lose value to "pay the divorce settlement/spousal maintenance". If you're a high-profile, ultra-high-value-net-worth individual, it's a nearly perfect excuse to sell a massive amount of stocks and properties all at once without causing a panic to shareholders and the public. If you and your ex-spouse continue to fund a joint venture, charitable fund, etc. this can be a way to ensure the continuance of that endeavor by insulating 50% of the funds against a market crash.
