Just tried this recipe, and it’s sooo good!! I thought that it was gonna be sweet at first bc of the tomato and the sugar, but it wasn’t!! I highly recommend!!

Greece here. After we peal the skin and remove the seeds of the tomatoes we cut it into small pieces and put it in the pan with salt pepper and sugar, until it becomes a smooth tomato salsa. When the salsa is ready and with no excess moisture in it we pour the beaten eggs. Its a dream coming tru, you have to try it!

Its actually similar to Turkish “Menemen”. You should try it, I highly recommend that

Since I discovered this dish I make it so often. It's so delicious! I also peel the tomatoes and combine them with onion, a bit of sugar and soy sauce. I then add a cornstarch slurry to the liquid to make it thicker

My boyfriend is Mexican and we love to have omelets with tomato and caramelized onion for breakfast, we heat up corn tortillas on a comal and scoop up the omelets with them.I feel like this recipe would be so good scooped up with a nice warm tortilla!

Gudu, gudu sounds a lot like the japanese word gutsu gutsu! I love egg stir fry but I’ve never thought of adding tomatoes before, also the kureyon shin-Chan at the end was so cute too!

Gutsu gutsu is what the Japanese people say when something like soup for example has come to a boiling state. That’s how we use it in our family so it may not be how other people describe it as. I hope that helped!

In mandarin gudu gudu is 咕嘟咕嘟 which is the sound made when boiling water

Just made this! I didn’t check the recipe link; I just used 2 eggs, 1 of each vegetable, and halved the condiments. It took me around half an hour, but that’s partly because I accidentally turned the heat on too high in the beginning. Tastes really good, and it’s a very yummy start to the day. Paired it with some fruit salad, which was definitely a good choice. Thanks for the recipe Mrs. Shi and Mr. He!

😲 I didn't know this was a staple in Chinese homecooking. Filipinos have something similar. But we keep the skin and squeeze out the watery pulp insides 🍅(we have like a big cherry tomato variety locally). Less liquid when we stir fry and we pour the eggs with the sauteed tomatoes and onion and cook them together. But I agree tomatoes and egg go together 😋.

Ye I'm chinese and my mum often makes this and it is one of my favorite dishes

*We also make one here in the Philippines! 😊 But, we just chop tomatoes ( along with the skin on ) and removed the seeds then crack some eggs, mix it and put the chop tomatoes inside the mixed egg and fry it.*
