Wait, the fake book is $18.99! I see great books at the thrift store for way less, estate sales, garage sales…I think buying a vintage real book for less makes sense for me:) That bookcase you redid blew my mind!! So cool!
Love the vid, but as a former bookseller I often cringe when I hear people say to use fake books or that you can’t get good books affordably. You can get cheap large books (which others call coffee table books) at used bookstores, and even some regular bookstores have a “remainder” section where all the books are discount. You can support a local business and actually get a book that you’ll love to browse if not read.

Yeah! You can also get super interesting coffee table books for super cheap at the thrift store too! Also your local library will often sell books they don't keep in rotation anymore for super cheap as well! And you're supporting your library at the same time!

Completely agree! Though I do have to say I have a few “box” books scattered around my home. My TV remotes live in one, and another small one is a receptacle for matches! I just pasted a piece of strike paper on the inside cover. 😊

some libraries let you check out their coffee table books. especially if you live in a vacation town. that is really fun

Totally on point. Nothing more cringe than hearing about fake books . There’s even “cool” for people nowadays to flex on social media over their reading when they actually don’t read at all 😏😏😏
No matter what your video subject is...DIY...decor....products....hacks...shopping....it always inspires and energizes me!
I find a LOT of feather pillows at garage sales...usually stuffed into some misc. cover. Wash or discard cover, spray pillow til damp with alcohol....voila...fresh as new! 50c - $2, usually.
I have saved so many of these products on my Amazon page! One suggestion.... I love using my Gorilla Glue mini hot glue gun for smaller projects ( I use it most of the time!), and the short mini glue sticks don't last very long. So I bought the extra long Gorilla Glue mini glue sticks which work so much better!
"I love lots of stuff. I love this candle. I love that vase. I love that lamp. I love EVERYTHING" Gold.
“I love this candle holder, I love this lamp, I love everything..”. u crack me up. Thanks!
The miter saw is perfect. I need to replace damaged molding and didn't want a mac daddy saw. TFS. Your videos are the best!

The reviews on this little miter saw weren’t good, so I didn’t get it, but did get the table top vacuum and have had fun with it.
Such a practical and wide-ranging list of items, thanks for taking the time to put this together :)
Fake books are great for adding a touch of cozy-ness when staging a home for re-sell. Inexpensive and you can use them over and over.
That was SOO HELPFUL! Who knew a SAW could be so damned adorable???
I love that they have down alternatives because omg who wants to be poked my feathers all the damn time! NOT ME! I hate my pillow forms, defiant need some new ones!!! Fill stick and paint pen!!! Whaaaaat!!! I’ve lived in my home for 21 years and I have changed wall decor so many times. The amount of little holes is ridiculous!! Love it.
Hey Drew. This was a very practical video. I need some of those items and it is great to have someone like you who uses these items all the time give some recommendations. Sometimes when I go to the home hardware stores, not everyone is familiar with the products and I go out of the store still unsure as to what I should buy. Thanks so much for the tips!!
I'm a new subscriber and just wanted to say how entertaining and informative your videos are. So glad I came across your channel and I eagerly await future decorating ideas!

Bought the anti-curing gripper for my area rug after watching this and it works GREAT!!!! I'd been worried about carpet tape damaging my hardwood, but this doesn't leave residue and it totally holds my rug in place. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
Can we talk about HOW HELPFUL this video truly was!!? Thank you so much!
When hanging pictures I use one or two straight pins together depending on the weight of the picture. That way there isn’t a large hole in your wall. Easy to nail into the wall.
I also have the Ryobi brad nail gun & the 7" miter saw. Both awesome. I'm so glad you talked about the little paintbrush and a little hole filler stick and especially those rug tapes!!!
It’s so nice to have one who can read your mind! That would be you Drew! You’re our ‘do-it-all’ guy! Thank you so so much! I am excitedly able to ‘get this party started over here!
I work as a painter. Don’t use a heat gun to dry paint. You want airflow more that heat. Heat will burn the paint, it’ll turn brown and bubble and curl off. Heat is actually a great way to strip paint. You can take a heat gun to old hardware and melt/peel the paint right off. Putting a fan on a wall with wet paint will cut your dry time in half, airflow is ideal for speeding up the drying process. A hairdryer is the best tool for quickly drying small projects. That’s what I use at work to quickly dry small items
My dad always told me to buy the best tool that I can afford. I go by that whether I'm shopping for an appliance or a car or my sliding compound miter saw, which was life changing!

Today was the first time I watched your videos and I watched 3 in a row and enjoyed each one. Of course I subscribed. Wish computers were around with youtube 40 years ago when my husband and I were working on our 1906 home. We did many things just by making mistakes but we were happy with our finished projects. Stripping high baseboards, door frames learning how to wallpaper and still talk to each other when we finished. Making a wall to wall 11feet wide from ceiling to floor closet with drawers on the sides out of oak, staining and putting 2 hole pulls on their drawers. I made a paper template because every drawer was the same size. The list goes on and work never stopped re-doing an older home. I loved the paint technique you used on your apartment in one of the rooms the window trick using electrical tape. I'm looking forward to watching more of your great ideas. There is one thing I'd like to know. We have moved to a condo and I want to do our onsuit bathroom. So how do you take vinyl wallpaper off. I've seen a few ideas but want to do it once as my age is not in my favor to do it one way and then find out how to do it an easier way. Enjoy your new home. Wendy Montani from Canada 🇨🇦
Thank you for this video! I've been stressing about getting a miter saw because I want to trim the heck out of the house and was in unfamiliar territory. Yours sounds exactly like what I've been looking for but didn't know how to describe it. The price is perfect!

It's honestly such an amazing tool to have and once you use it a few times you will want to use it 24/7!
I have three desk vacuums I love to bits! 1 I use specifically for picking up glitter & mica powder. Another I use for picking up seed beads that have gotten away from me and the last one I use for .. dirt/other dirty stuff. I'd been telling everyone how great I thought they would be to have before Christmas. Then I bought one for myself - for Christmas and got 2 more as gifts. haha
the tin snips are the best invention for creative people
Every one is great. Thx. I'm always trying to refine my tools, getting rid of things that just don't work well and replace with ones that do!!
I've been using the wallpaper edger as a painting straightedge for-ever. Now my secret to perfect paint edges is out!!
When you said, "You spend so much of your life sleeping..." that literally took me out! 🤣🤣
Drew, I love you energy! You are the kind of people that I am like "can we be friends?"!!
I ordered those Gorilla Glue sticks on Amazon. I saw a lot other KZreadrs using it too. Those shear cutters are amazing!! I definitely need to put that on my list to get. Thank you for sharing your favorite decors and tools😍🥰👍
Love them all but you can get coffee table books at friends of library sales for less price.
Can't wait for the bedroom makeover!!
Thirteen is my lucky number! So nice, you used it twice! Lol, bonus holy grail! I agree, both laser levels and glue sticks are essential kit items for any DIYer.
We hope your mental health/sleep is improving! Love your videos 💗
I just bought the all in one scissors/ cutting tool. Thank you Drew I was looking for something that comes with a recommendation. MWAS!
The paint hack over tape for straight wall. I use acrylics semigloss varnish (or whatever the sheen is on the wall. This way you don’t have to try and match the original paint and crisp lines
I added almost every single one of these to my shopping list! 😁 Thanks for amazing suggestions! My only constructive critique (as an art grad) is to buy the value packs of hard bound, non-spiral sketchbooks instead of those "fake books". They come in lovely colors and look so clean and professional at a fraction of the cost (cuz starving artist college kid life lol) and are great quality paper inside!
diy idea for you….You normally ditch or spray paint the handles ….I painted antique drawer pulls with Annie Sloan chalk paints…added a.s. metallic wax …covered with Dixie belle satin clear coat…used a.s. Chateau grey (which is green with grey) and warm gold wax. You probably could use any wax and clear coat….but the a.s. Paint really sticks to the metal. I would like to see you make furniture hardware small pieces of art.
Love the paint edger! I came across this one on my own out of desperation (abhor taping😂). So much quicker and I’ve repainted entire rooms with perfect edges!
5:44 would make such a good edited meme lmao “I love the sound” *close up of Drew as he’s playing the most horrendous noise ever* “It’s like ASMR”
This is the exact video I needed!!! I just bought my first home and need so many of these items, especially the pillow inserts and laser level!
I love your nails when demonstrating the little vacuum!! So cute!
Watching your videos breeds hope and possibly
Gorilla glue hot glue sticks are an absolute godsend!
I love the books! I also go the second hand stores and book stores to find the books I want.At a fraction of the cost! You can get any color scheme or antique look or modern look ,or wrap them.
Can I just say that I love love love your current design in your living room! 💯🥰
I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and just realized earlier today I wasn’t even subscribed to you. You’re amazing how could I have missed that!
