The presence and the writer are the same entity in the comics, that was confirmed in either the batman and Robin story run from 1985 or the superman story where he gets sent to the negative zone and meets the presence. Don't remember which one exactly but I remember reading it as a kid

I'd argue flash or any speedster could beat base superman pretty easily. They literally have to be given dumb weaknesses so their comics aren't just them absolutely demolishing every villain they cross. Wally west in comics could probably beat CAS.
