91 Octane. That is what really makes this level of power impressive, other than the cleanest fabrication and most unassuming integration I've seen in any classic car. Look at the rims, tyres and brakes, you'd think, this guy is a classic racer I guess. He'd corner well, probably not that much better in a straight line than a stock 65 Chevelle. Then you ask the owner to a race, and you, grinning like a child at the line as the tree goes from red to green soon discover that he finished the 1/4 mile while you were just passing the 1/8th mile marker in your GTR. I'm not one to fanboy over anything, really, even as a gearhead, though Triumph Spitfires and JDM Minis are my jam. This build is really amazing, lots of hard work and passion put into this machine. I salute you, Nelson Supercars and Nelson Racing Engines, you people are certainly gifted. 👍

Yeah, it's perfect in every way.. But does it have power?? Oh! Hehehe. Of course I was kidding for those who are gonna come back with some lame comment, LoL. This guy really builds the beasts!! I've always loved sleepers and he is the one who makes the best! Last sleeper I had was a 71 Chev pick up truck with a HO Monte Carlo engine. It still had the three on the tree, but this thing was bustin ass on 5.0's and other quick little stockers on in-town stoplight runs! It was fun. This looks like WAY more fun!!!

I like the wheels I just got a set in 18x9 for my 64 vert. Don't care for how the rear wheel openings were modified in any way. Having the rear tires tucked up in there looks tuff.

Out of all the cars I have seen come from Nelson Racing, This is my favorite. A total sleeper that would smoke most cars on the road. I totally dig the paddle shifter in a 65 on top of the original looking body. The 63 tempest is my favorite killer, but that car would never get a challenge at a light. The 65 Chevelle would have more fun cruising around and blowing minds.

so many negative comments, its a 1400hp street car, it's prob not faster then a veyron, but it's not supposed to be. It's not an outlaw street car, it's just a really sweet ride that happens to make an ass load of power. is it to much for the street? yea but so is a gtr or a zl1 and zr1 or gt 500. it for information show tom's skill and what he can do. stop comparing it to a million dollar car and stop comparing it to a pure drag car.

I guess we all have our definitions of what a sleeper is but, I believe most people would agree that a sleeper is a car or truck that simply performs at a level far greater than its appearance would suggest. A sleeper does not have to have a bunch of modern equipment to be a sleeper. Plenty of sleepers use older equipment to get the job done.

I also noticed that the part of the front fenders are cut for more tire clearance. Who ever owns this car needs to purchase a handle for the drivers side wind wing as well.

You say in the video this LSX engine this is a 388 cubic inch motor, so I'm assuming this is the 6.2L 376 cubic inch LSX engine, did you have to do a slight bore on the block to punch it out to 388?, what were the factory hp ratings on this engine?, did this engine come with all forged internals like the LSX 454?, if this engine did come with forged internals, were you able to use them for this twin turbo application?, or did you have to swap them out for stronger forged internals?
