When they're that young their brains are like sponges. Meals cooked, all the free time in the world too. Best time to get good. Kids get obsessive too.

The kid just oozes feel. His technique, phrasing and pocket are spot on too. A natural... respect to Tyler for giving him space to shine. He's a better player... and only 14!
I'm a drummer from Newcastle, Australia and I played a gig about 6 years ago where Taj joined in with Sweet Child o' Mine. I could instantly tell he was gonna be a major talent.
from australia. this kid and his parents are incredible. never met them. but everything i've seen over the years impresses me.
Thank God these youngsters are still showing up on the music scene. How amazing this young man is. Great video!!

It's the one thing that hasn't changed since the 50s. There will always be kids wanting to play instruments
What an impressive, talented, and inspiring young man. Good job, Mom and Dad. This kid has the tools to go far.
Taj and his whole family are wonderful. We have a mutual friend who got us together when he was playing fairly local to me, so I could bring the twin guitar I built for Eric Gales to let Taj try out. He is so humble and really welcomed me to hang out and talk guitars and gear. And SRV....we are both big fans. He even ended playing the guitar for a song in the set. Great hang. He deserves all the accolades.
It's awesome to see this young man progress ,good job dad ,best investment ever.
What I like most is how nice and mature he is. He doesn’t let ego get into his personality and that’s so refreshing especially for such a young and talented musician.
I've been following Taj for about 4 years now and his progression has been amazing to watch. Unbelievably talented young man!

That’s what I thought too. He isn’t just hitting the notes. He has a maturity in his playing that is rare even for guys who have been playing for years and years.
Been following Taj since the beginning and he will be around for a long time if he keeps his head on his shoulders like he has been and not lose the Passion. Taj beyond a shadow of doubt is Gifted! One thing is sure, you both need to play more together! Awesome Collab playing guys!
Been following Taj for a while now. He's probably one of my favorite new guitarist. He has that gilmour effect. He knows how to work a note.
Taj is such a cool kid yet mature beyond his years, and damn, what a player. I hope he stays on track and doesn’t succumb to fame and fortune. I’ve seen his parents interviewed too and they seem to have their parenting heads on straight. Love his ear for tone and where, when to play his parts. Not just a hey, look how fast I can play these runs, kind of player. He’s got soul. That’s a cool guitar too. Like his playing, again understated but awesome tone. Excellent hang, Tyler, please have him on again down the road.
A 14 year old playing p90s says it all fir me 👌 He’s so melodic 👌👌

So glad you interviewed Taj - keep this handy in the archives, for when he goes legendary status and you can show this discussion about way back when. I think he’ll be all that, we’ve seen Taj a few times and he brings the emotional guitar sound every time.
I've been following Taj from that first video, I knew he was going to be something special, and boy is he. Thanks for bringing him on your channel.
I love that you covered Taj, been watching him for years and so happy to see that he's getting the exposure he deserves. Also, love the description of syrupy, so perfect.
I really enjoy the warm sound of Taj's Kiesel. He has been fun to watch and become the musician he is today. He's going to be one of the best.
I’m pretty new to the channel and obviously the content is behind excellent. But what really gets me is how well you (Tyler) choose your words when speaking to people. It really comes off with a tone of humble wisdom and I can’t help but admire the message. KZread is sick. Love that people can spread so much awesomeness
This young guy and you Taylor are sooo inspiring to watch, I'm currently not home so unable to grab my guitar at the mo but you've made me want to play it until my fingers bleed. Cheers
What a great young man! Awesome player too.
I love this interview. Love to hear Tajs guitar sounds so sharp and sweet! Taj is full of info! They played so good together. I've been a fan of Tajs for almost 4 years now. He's amazing! Fancy Nancy 😍
That was a delight to watch. A perfect balance of modest give and take between both of you, in conversation and playing. Thank you.
Awesome interview, with an awesome player, by an awesome player/teacher.
In the mid-90's I saw Nathan Cavaleri (another Aussie) playing at BB King's Blues Club in LA. He was about the same age that Taj is now, and BB had flown in from Memphis that night just to see the set. Nathan was impressive in his playing and maturity, and Taj has shown he's got both of those attributes by the bucketload. Must be something in the water down under, lol. Here's wishing Taj continued success as his career grows!
Let’s gooooooo, been following taj for years now. So happy to see him on your channel
I LOVED this interview!❤
The best part of this whole video is you were both having fun. Thanks for showing that and love the next generation..... we are in good hands.
I met Taj and his family in Springfield, MO. They're great down to earth people. His sister is a great percussionist too.
Music is Win, This made me so happy! I liked and subscribed!
Man I can not belive it has already been seven years since we were blessed with listening to this young man!! Rock on Taj and stay true to you and keep clean man.
glad to see that you are making these video's with great guitar players and you yourself have a great talent......keep em coming......
The kid can really play beautifully 24:08 . His sliding note style is mostly his own and he puts more feeling into it than many top players. Its not all about who plays the fastest arpegios ..he is fast , but the kid has feeling
The "Jamming to demonstrate what feel is" part was absolutely beautiful. It could have been a song/track alone. Reminded me a lot of Buckethead and some of Rob Scallon's earlier songs, namely "Rain" and "For That Second". Impressive for a kid this young being that talented
Excited to see him recording a proper album! This kid is great for the world of guitar!
this is just amazing, could listen the whole evening to this
He’s great for 14. I had a band that was playing small school gyms when I was 12. So I get it. But he needs to hang in and work on his technique- can’t wait to catch him in 3 years!
He's awesome, can't wait for his album. A guitar hero is born.
He is a legend in the making! Awesome interview!
Your amazing and inspirational Taj. I look forward to listening to your music for many years to come.
Hi Tyler, What a quality interview man. Would love to see this format from you with other artists too. Looks like you have a lot of fun with it and it shows in the resulting post. Cheers 🤟
Absolutely crazy the grasp he has on music. All of it comes from the soul for sure 🤘
Totally agree with his dad the knowledge you bring to the world is really incredible Tyler you deserve a lot of credit for inspiring the next generation of guitarists as well as some of us older ones to get back into it and improve 👌🏻
What a cool format for this video
Great sound coming from that kids fingers! Thanks for doing this video! Great to share the young talent with the world!
I've been Following Taj since the beginning. Love this kid! He is truly the Future of Guitar music!!!
Been following Taj for years and blown away by his incredible talent!
He plays with so much flavor and heart it is difficult to believe he is only 14. Go for it Taj. You were made to play to us
Great Vid. Taj is an incredible guitarist. Wish he would demonstrate how he switches his pick from behind his index finger while he finger picks then transfers it back and forth with such ease.
Those first couple of licks on the Bm riff brought an instant smile to my face ...
Great interview Tyler. Thank you.
Absolutely brilliant. I certainly remember seeing some of his first vids of guitar.
Great having a Dad like Brandin!
Had the pleasure of meeting Taj and his dad at NAMM this past year. Such an awesome family. Such a great player. Hope he continues to inspire the young generation of players and future players.
Long time Fans. My family and I are Fans Forever. LOVE...LOVE...LOVE this. Thank you. Love this interview.
Amazing feel! He is destined for greater things.
Great interview, Great questions!
Proud of our Aussie Taj. He is like a reincarnated combination of the best guitarists who ever existed. Tyler is a great player, and it is so cool to see a 14 year old play in an evenly matched jam with him. Does anyone else strike this as being a phenomenon ? Add to that, he is such a likeable kid and no blown ego. I am a player, but I am totally amazed. and with epic admiration.🎸🎸
I always wanted to play guitar to but now I have it just to look at Farrant is just a born talent I know nothing comes from nothing but there are just some people they seem to be born for this I’ve been watching you for a few years now keep up the great work and stay the way you are good luck with your album ❤
IVE BEEN WATCHING HIM FOR LIKE 3-4 YEARS BEEN WAITING FOR THIS CONTENT 🔥
Wow this has been a great video to watch
Good playing, feel and choice of notes. He looks like young SRV. Keep on playing man. 🎸🎶☮

So thankful kids like this still happen. What an amazing talent and passion
ive been playing for 9 years and im about to turn 15 too lol! I love seeing people that get me and people that love my type of playing. Also, love your content.
His tone is incredible!! So warm and dynamic… and it’s not just the guitar/p90s… you can even here how vastly different his tone is compared to Tyler’s when he played the same guitar at the end of the video
I remember watching him as a little kid! And un-freaking-believable little kid!!! Can't wait to hear the album 🤙
Go for it again,man!
Yeah that kids got the gift of playing guitar boy now that I know who he is I'm going to start listening to a lot of his music thank you for making this video you do a good job take care and have a great day
He’s awesome. Saw Taj back in and around Feb 2024 at Hot Monk Brew Pub in NorCal. Just an incredible guitar player at his young age and we all know he’ll just get better🤘 Ps. Taj’s comment on emotion with the guitar is so true for him. When I saw him play, the guitar become an extension of him. He’s a very emotional player when he’s on stage. Pss. Where can we purchase those Taj’s picks? They look sweet.
Think the coolest thing taj even stated he loves the KZread platform and was familiar with your channel!
Awesomeness! Way late to the vid but thanks for the intro to Taj; fantastic playing and feeling. The groove you did right in the middle of the vid, you turned on a pedal that had like a strings decay in the backgound and would LOVE to know what that was! Great sounds and great interview! Thanks for sharing!
You guys sound so good together just playing!
Dang… his playing has come a long way!! very nice phrasing Taj!
Hearing you two play , wow… more !!!
Great video, great jams, thanks for the ear candy.
Great interview go Aussie

Man, Taj is a great kid! I taught him everything I know (Where to plug the cable in) and he has nailed it! 🤣He is going to have a whole lotta fun as the years come.
Not only skilled but seems humble with no ego.His future should be amazing.
Hi Taj ! Big love from Mendocino ca s💀🫶🏽✌🏾
What a cool dude, feels like he has an old soul. Very wise for his years!
Love you man ❤
I have a chance to see him live locally soon!
Legend! That bum pick had me in stitches…especially when Taj said that “your finger must go in the crevice” 😂😂😂
Amazing maturity in his playing at such a young age
You Tyler are one of those youtuber guitar guys I would love to hang out for an hour or so just to chat and jam. We could show each other a bunch of cool riffs and rock history stories, et al. Cheers!
I couldn't make it through the video without saying "geeeeezzzz" outloud, twice. That dude has it. A lot of it.
God given talent!
