No, it's unconstitutional to sentence a 14 yo to life. Hold him accountable, yes, but life?? Their age lends them a greater chance towards being rehabilitated. His brain is still developing. We can both keep the community safe, and rehabilitate while not throwing away the constitution. There are many just like him, or worse, that end up living normal lives later on.

I think people who have under age adults with teenagers I think even from nine up to 16 they should start putting up alarms on their doors, the front door and the back door so when someone goes to open it at night when everybody should be sleeping, you can hear the alarm and not just for burglars for children 😮

I'm not a proponent of charging children as adults because I do believe redemption is possible. But to do what this kid did? He would have to undergo a whole ton of therapy and even then I'm not sure it would do any good. Something is already messed up in the head of a rap ist, but to be 14 and forcing yourself on a 91 year old? It just suggests a whole other deep level of depravity. They should investigate his parents/guardians too.

Judge will give him a 2 year suspended sentence and be done with it. I doubt he will get a jail sentence because 'he won't survive in jail' blah blah. Reminds me of that case with 2 amish brothers sexually assaulting their 12 year old sister, getting her pregnant and judge didn't give them a prison sentence because, 'other prisoners will eat them alive' and released them back into same community as their victim. Disgusting.

He had too much alone time to himself in order to even think to do something like that. Sometimes kids do horrible things and they didn't learn any of it from their parents at all. Ask me how I know! I have a daughter who will turn 32 this year and seemed to gravitate towards a lot of negative energy earlier on in her life. She stole clothing items at 15 and I knew when she did it because I know what clothes that I bought her and I also frequented stores back then. I knew that I hadn't given her any money and my mother hadn't either, so where did those clothes come from? As a parent I called the store and told them about her theft because if she had already done it before and gotten away with it, then she'd surely try it again and by George, she did try it yet again and she was caught because I gave a clear description of my daughter to management of that store. I did this in an effort to try and save my child for further on down the line... She never tried that again, but did try other dumb things, however i said all of that just to say this, we cannot always blame the parents but sometimes we surely can. ❤
