Redoing the rear brakes on my 1978 GMC with the full floating 14 bolt rear. This was terrible.
Жүктеу.....

that was informative, thank you. My dads rig has munched the spindles.. gets very expensive. A lot of uses beyond heavy duty.. one can rotate in different degrees after springing a hub or an axle... make it seem smooth again.

Informative video. However the lighting sucks for anyone not familiar with these type of brake systems. The third hand tool I had never seen, looks very useful. Oh.. and the ratchet hammer. :)

I changed the pumpkin on an old BMW. I bought a used one and put it in. When I went to check the oil, it was so pretty green I just had to leave it in.

You should comment that this is for the HD K/C 2500 series axle (8 lug), the std C/K 2500 2500 axle is 6 lug and has the "c" clips in the diff, but you don't have to pull axles to do brakes. Just did mine.

Anyone have a diagram for the spring placement for these brakes? When I got my drum off everything fell out in a pile and I have no idea where to start.

Hey Guys, hope you can help me fast 🙈 i got a 1985 c2500 suburban and forgot to look after the hold back spindles before taking off everything 😭 on the video there is a shorter spindle on the backside and a longer on the front side. Both yellow. But my new yellow spindles both the same. Is it possible?? Greetings from Germany 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Your spreader bar is backwards you have left and right mixed up the bar should be bent inward not outward it will keep you from fully threading your wheel hub in and can cause damage thier the spring on the end is to keep the spreader bar in place when shoes and drums are nearing end life (prevents it from falling out) it also keep noise down from rattles when not applying the brakes
