This week’s video does a breakdown of moves 14 and 15, which is the sequence of Chop With Fist and Step Up, Deflect, Parry and Punch.
Take note of the two different ways it's put together in the set reminder sheet, which you can download from our website for free. Keep in mind it's the same move regardless of whether they are sequential or combined.
Also, I am attending a weekend workshop next month, Yay. Be sure to let us know if you're interested in joining me at the workshop being held in Edmonton, Alberta on April 14, 15 and we will pass on the details to you. Everyone is welcome!

You put a lot into training others and each of us appreciates all you do to help us learn. You make it look effortless. If I had not found your videos, I probably would have chucked Tai Chi!

So your body will turn from 45º left to 45º right? Why not 90º to 90º? Why concentrate on what the arms are doing instead of how the waist/Dantian and legs are driving them? Why visibly rise up during the change when you should be sinking (example @ 12.24)? I'm sorry, but failing to drive the postures from the waist and legs and ignoring sinking, one of the primary principles of Tai Chi, this is a sadly typical mediocre demonstration of low level Tai Chi. Nothing personal, I'm sure you mean well, but technically it sucks.

HI Paul, Thanks for your comments. You have to keep in mind that this video series is specifically done with the beginner in mind which is primarily geared towards learning basic positioning of the moves and the intended audience is not typically ready for the more advanced instruction you are speaking of. I appreciate your level of expectation and perhaps you will see more of what you want to see as we get into other series down the road. Are you practicing Mr. Moy's style of Tai Chi or another style? Cheers
