$139 Plane Seat Vs. $24,000 Plane Seat
"I could join the mile high club with this seat."
In Worth It: Lifestyle, a spin off of BuzzFeed’s hit series Worth It, host Steven Lim and his buddies embark on a new adventure, setting out to try different experiences at three different price points: affordable, middle tier, and luxury--from airplane seats to cars to videos games. At the end of the episode, the gang decides which experience is the most “worth it” at its given price.

“Knock on wood...” *knocks on head..*
I love how $1950 per month is considered middle ground lmao
@sachinmysorekar5593
5 жыл бұрын
It depends how much you use it. It could be really worth it or a waste of money. In England where I live there is an hours train ride to London which costs $600 a month (in dollars, I already converted) . This has a fixed route. So for about 3 times the price you have a larger area and no fixed route. Don't forget plane beats train. Also the plane is quite exclusive.
@ar9n
5 жыл бұрын
Sachin Mysorekar I live in London lol. I see your point but usually on worth it the middle one isn't for relatively wealthy people, it's more like a treat for people who wouldn't normally pay that price
@sachinmysorekar5593
5 жыл бұрын
I guess some companies pay for the memberships themselves. Especially for executive staff. It would likely be cheaper than get train rides and would save your staff time and money. I see it being a little treat for some people who use it everyday and a huge treat for people who fly under 8 times a week. If your job means you travel a lot I see it being as worth it as Netflix but for most it would be the height of luxury as you don't get much for the value. If You use it every week day it would be the best for value out of the 3.
@Ravenousjoe
5 жыл бұрын
It is more worth it for folks that travel a lot for work. I don't pay for my own flights, but if I had to, this would save a lot of time and money, and would be fractions of the cost of booking flights with cancellation insurance.
@sachinmysorekar5593
5 жыл бұрын

I am SO glad people are working on making planes more comfortable! They need all the help they can get! My worth it winner is the cheapest flight! Though the plane with the BEDROOM in it was amazing!

I would pay 2k a month to be able to fly anywhere in the U.S any time I wanted.... It would be cheap you could vist all of the U.S in the year with just 24k saved up (Year of flights) all you would need next is to pay for hotels. Wake up in California, decide you want to go to NY for the day and enjoy some NY style pizza.

Singapore Airlines. Brilliant advertising by whoever picked this up. Side note, has anyone ever figured out how they afford to do this stuff?
@CD9688
2 жыл бұрын
It’s unlikely they paid anything. For all of the Airlines it’s free advertisement. The Singapore Airlines plane didn’t actually take off, it would have been grounded the entire time. So it was no real cost for Singapore Airlines

That $1950 a month membership deal is pretty cool. I would love to have that membership if I was earning like 5k a month and working 40 hours a week. I would just take flights to places for the hell of it and never get tired of doing something on the weekends. Plus they provide you with a quality car to use when you're there, what a great idea. I wonder what their cost structures are like and it's only gonna get way more profitable for them when they get more members and get to have more destination options. Great business structure.

so you would spend 37% of your salary on a plane membership that you would have almost no time to use. Living within your means is something so simple yet so difficult to achieve in a society where everyone wants to live off apearances. No wonder people are always broke!

11:05 $24,000 Isn't a bad price for what you're getting. In 2005 I paid exactly $24,000 for first class from Newark to Portugal. If this double sweet is $24,000... to scale,my first class flight should have only been $7,000. Fun side story: My family and I all visited Portugal together, and rented 6 of the same exact BMW. While in Algarve, our BMW convoy took a wrong turn, down some streets that were so winding and narrow, it barely fit 1 car. We drove 10 minutes down this WRONG street, only to find out it was a dead end, with no way of turning the cars around. So that 10 minute (it took so long because it was alongside a cliff of a small town) drive we took IN, now had to be done IN REVERSE!!! It took almost 30 minutes and the cars smelled so bad once we were out.
the editing is spot on
