Just rapid fire takedowns, near falls, reversals, and more near falls....a start to finish dominant match from Keegan! Nathan seemed to keep a good attitude about it and both wrestlers were all smiles after the match. Nathan said something about leg cradles and Keegan kindly pointed you out and said something about pictures and them being cool. Though I gather these indoor matches in that location weren't so much tournament matches, rather just some sort of organized wrestling event where the guys could get in a lot of work.

About a year into the pandemic, neighboring states were still wrestling while Illinois was completely shut down, so coaches got together to host their own events in order to give their athletes an opportunity to compete when their schools wouldn't.

Not to sure how I feel about it, I prefer the competition of knowing so many are watching in an organized wrestling event. This more private show is too quiet and the wrestling is more affectionate in the bromantic way, I assure you I don't mind. I just happen to like the seriousness of a tournament.

Keegan (138 lbs) has a younger brother, Payton (113 lbs), and they've both won state championships. I'd bet 10-1 that their dad wrestled back in the day. It takes a family effort, mom and dad both, to raise championship wrestlers. You don't want to get between a wrestling dad and his son. And, trust me on this, you REALLY don't want to get between a wrestling mom and her son! These videos are the highest quality wresting videos I've ever seen... perfect for referee training due the close in view of the action. Extraordinary work.
