IMO either LPL should have waited until Bill made an update post of his own to say goodbye before jumping the shark here, or Bill is a bit of a jerk for not saying bye himself. I get not wanting to devote so much time to producing a schedule of videos, but it doesn't take that long to pop out one last 5 minute video.

I found about Bill through by getting him randomly recommended to me by youtube, the video that got recommended to be where he was taking a piss ("literally" and figuratively) on masterlock by "opening" it through funny ways, loved it and started to watch other videos by him. I understand his wish to retire and i hope him good and long life, he will be missed but not forgotten.

I'd like to think an afternoon at a firing range isn't beyond the scope of retirement activities. Those squire locks were the best. Both of them upping their bets every time the squire beat them.

I honestly have never heard of Bosnian Bill, but any man willing to step up and be a father or guardian for another's children at such a time, is an honorable man in my book. Much respect, and happy retirement, good Sir.

14 years ago was 2007, when KZread was nothing like it is today. Most creators who were around back then aren't on this site anymore. That's a very long career, and I wish him all the best.

"We don't need no stinkin' key!" -- Bosnian Bill Bill got me into lock picking with his videos. After that he sent me care package, at no charge, with easy locks, a custom pinable training lock, and some not-too-hard challenge locks... Why did he do it? Well simply because I "whined" that here in Denmark it's hard to come by mediocre locks. Either they're junky Master style locker-locks, or they're proper hardened locks with tight tolerances and security pins... A few years later I sent him a very rare Ruko that I knew he was missing in his collection. To me he holds the undisputed title of "Lockpicking's Grand Old Man". May he enjoy every moment of his retirement. Cheers! And let's get to picking!

The best thing I learned from Bosnian Bill was that you can just order your finger to stop bleeding and it will obey. Don't remember the video but that made me laugh

I think this was not an easy video for LPL to make. I heard his voice crackle a little a few times. It is hard to let a good friend and colleague go. All the best and Happy retirement to Bill!

LPL and Bosnian Bill's lock they designed was eventually produced and using this new tool, I opened my first Disc Detainer lock. These had been my bane for months before purchasing this tool and I nearly cried with joy. I'm disabled and sport picking is one of the few things I can still do. I never became very good, but I still practice and love the sport that LPL and Bill introduced to me through these KZread videos. Hats off to both these legends and a heartfelt happy retirement to Bill: As a great grandmother, I can affirm that nothing is more important than family.

A wise decision. Life is too short. His work is done here, legacy securely "locked" in place. Enjoy your retirement, Bill. To health & family 🍻

I haven’t even seen a BosnianBill video, but never before has hearing the words “click out of three” brought a tear to my eye. BosnianBill, I wish you the best! Be happy, love all, and make the most of life.

When this landed on my feed, (27th September 2021) I was seriously ill with covid, in fact it really did very nearly kill me. As a result, my wee thank u to Bill, and to LPL (because it was LPL who introduced me to Bill's channel, without him, I may never have found it) is about 18 months late coming. Nevertheless, its heartfelt. Thank u Bill, for all the knowledge, I'm definitely a better picker for it. Happy retirement and all the very best. Mike in England 🇬🇧

He's a heaven sent angel, a true blessing upon mankind, those who can't see that are truly blind. A voice so sweet and mild, gentle like the softness of a pillow, soothing like the wind through willow, if one day he passes, my tears will be thick as molasses, now he shares his time his kin and friend, for us all a sad but happy end. May his retirement be one which he can look back fondly on.

Have a good retirement Bill ;) Does anyone know what will happen to the Bill's "nasty bucket" of locks that couldn't be opened on camera? I think it could be interesting to see LPL explaining the intricacies of each one.

I've been subscribed to lpl channel for a little while now and just today finally got around to subscribing to bills channel,I was bummed to find out this was one of the first videos to pop up...I hope all the best and am sure glad his so many knowledgeable videos are still available for all of us hobbyists...

During an extended stay in hospital recently one of your videos popped up in my news feed. I was so fascinated that for the 3 weeks I spent in hospital I binge watched your channel, Bosnian Bill and Lock Noob. The end result was that by the time I left hospital I had a new hobby and a few hundred dollars worth of lock picking toys on order. I’m still very much at the start of a steep learning curve, but I am starting get a feel for locks so the 3 channels listed above have become part of my every day routine. All I can say is a big thank you to all 3 of you guys, I appreciate all your guidance. I for one will miss Bosnian Bill’s videos. 😊🇦🇺

You guys know why I like LPL? I am not particularly interested in picking locks, but the length of his videos. In three minutes he told about Bill, his situation and all of that, AND he picked a lock. In an era of hugely stretched KZread videos, these are such a treat. Short, precise, informative, fun. But relaxing and calm, at the same. I really hope that more tubers would downsize their videos... I wish good times for Bosnian Bill, and Mr Lawyer.

I first discovered Bosnian Bill before LPL, I found his videos oddly interesting and soothing for some reason. I would never really give a second thought about the quality of locks but you guys have shown me just how important it can be and how easy many of them can be able to bypass. Bill will definitely be missed but thankfully its on his own terms.

BosnianBill and LPL are my all time favourite channels. Such a shame, although he has his reasons!
