Thomas Barnes in the 1320 Mini at The Fast Show 2017 putting in a run of 10.76 @ 130.6mph. Went on to run a new PB of 10.23 @ 142mph. Ready for the 9's very soon.
Engine mods include.
Basic MINI Cooper S engine
Stock crank
Stock block
Forged rods and Pistons
CNC head with G&S valves
Cat Camshaft
1320 turbo manifold
Owens hta35/82
Link g4+ Thunder ECU
1350cc Asnu injectors

It doesn’t weigh anything...any motor upgrades make the mini ridiculous. Plus some good meaties....I’m not surprised. Minis are entirely underrated..

Linkavich Chamofskee well i hav an r53 and its stripped, compared to my gtis audi’s and mercs, its light af...only thing i had lighter was my eg hatch but it didn’t feel solid wasn’t nearly as fun.

My reaction too 😂😂 was not expecting it to still have some stock parts. I own a standard cooper but building an R53 Engine ready for it to go in. It's gonna be mad

I love my r53 so much
With a good launch it should be able to hit 9s no problem! shoot given how old this vid is, I wouldn't be surprised if it already has with not much else done to it!

They can do a turbo build for 6k now bud. Clutch flywheel. Pistons a big turbo injectors ecu and tune pretty much good to go. Factor the handling side of things too

Turbo build will see 300 400whp there turbo is huge hence 650odd horses

The spec is in the description, but I don't know the power figures. I would guess to run a trap speed of 142mph, it has to be over 500bhp. So approx. 530bhp 🤷♂️

@@PaceEdits666 It's the same Tritec engine, the S basically get the supercharger added and that's all, which they certainly removed.

Its a 53 engine wise but yeah the shell is an R50. It is sleeper style MINI One.

R50 mini one with R53 Engine and Gearbox. They bolt straight in and they are stupid fast. With minor mods they will smoke modern day hot hatch's
its not a cooper S as it doesnt have a scoop.

The Mini Cooper s has a curb weight of 2.6 to 3k lbs there not light vehicles like you think bmw's are extremely heavy vehicles because in Europe they want a car that corners good and a light car doesn't corner for crap they don't have many straight roads over there

They're about 1180kg which is still stupid light for something with that much power. They weight less than an EP3 and they're quick. Less than a fiesta st. Lighter than most hot hatchs

You are right, Lotus, Westfield, Ariël, Noble and Donkervoort are just a few examples of light cars that don't corner for crap. All built in Europe too...
