@@bubgum00 No. Dimash is great singer, the kind that comes around only a few hundred times per generation. They're very rare, but if you go to any major opera production, you'll find a couple of them on stage. He tends to have loud productions that drown out mistakes. The true test of a singer is what happens if you take away everything but the voice. When Dimash has to rely on his voice to carry the song, you'll notice that the ambition level drops like a rock. When the ambition level rises, so does the volume of the accompanying music. The closest he comes to being unique is his falsetto, but that's a bit like being uniquely good at musical farting; if you consider it objectively, you have to admit that it's a remarkable talent, but listening to it is still an acquired taste, at best. It's also a talent that only applies to male singers, and can't be used to compare him to female singers. Angelina is the kind of singer that comes around less than once in every generation. If you want to hear a voice like that, you'll have to find an Angelina Jordan performance. Her voice is the main element in whatever she sings. Take away everything else, and she remains every bit as amazing. She never hides her voice behind instruments, because she never needs to. Personally, I think the world would be a better place without both falsetto singers and musical farters.

@@erikjarandson5458 Personally, I believe Dimash is the greatest singer in history. My background is my age--73 and my 11,000 records of every genre.

There are good and there are great singers and they all fit for the most part into a common style and genre that they all compete in to see who can sing the highest and maintain control. Then we have the one and only Angelina Jordan who has shown that she can compete with all of them so far, except for now not in the opera genre, but she may even venture into that at one point and if she does she will no doubt be a contender in that one as well. She does not try to compete though she just sings from her heart and soul with her God bestowed amazing talent.

I believe Angelina's cover of the Adele sone "Million Years Ago" when she was 12 is my favorite! I love finding unknowns as i did this young lady a couple months ago.....Another unknown to the world quite a few years back was the late EVA CASSIDY.....My god that woman who died in 1996, wasn't discovered until 3 or 4 years after she died of cancer at the age of 33.....And it took the BBC radio in England to do that, by pure accident! Angelina is in that league as EVA Cassidy. Meaning she makes the song her own!!

She not only has the range, control and texture for beautiful vocals, but she also conveys the appropriate emotions. She sounds like she has experienced a lot more life than 13 yrs would allow. You look really in that shade of blue. Thanks for sharing.

I throughout loved this reaction and at one point your reaction to her first high note had me laughing while i said "to you" for myself: you have no idea,but shes going higher then this. Then this happens 4:26 You had me rolling over on my side laughing!🤣I believe a vocal coach with his piano reacting to her singing this,at the end high note he looked like he was about to cry,he was so happy she made that note and landed,without messing up. He confirmed that she actually made a E flat wich to me is abit too technical,but he said "that is pretty high!". It is said that Angelina can sing with a Octave 5,wich is even higher. I can not confirm this,basically because my head tries to figure out if i have heard her that high,and i cant remember. Still,her strength is when she can bring the strong,deep jazzy vocals,and this is therefor abit out of her comfort zone,so her accomplishment here has been praised as tremendous amongst fellow singers/artists as well. No wonder people believes in reincarnation when listening to Angelina.

Sarah is amazing in her own right but you can tie her to one genre of music which you can't do with Angelina! With Angelina you can't pick a genre because she is able to cover them all except opera and if she ever tries that I am sure she will be formidable! Blue inGreer She was 13 in that video?? She looked much older. Anyway, Sarah Ikumu has a great voice, but what makes Angelina special and different from any other is her delivery and deep jazz voice with so much layers, warmth and soul. She doesnt sound like anyone else. Angelina isnt a pop-singer and hasnt got a voice that fits these kind of songs perfectly, still she nailed it. She mostly and foremost sings jazz, but she can sing everything. Of course that Sarah girl has a clean and great voice like Jennifer Hudson but she doesnt differ a lot from other singers that has great voices in that category (when it comes to distinctiveness). Why always the need to compare talents? Cant both of them be the greatest in their "category"? Sarah does have an advantage over Angelina though and that is she is British. Its easier to get acknowledged when you are from a big country.

Oh I agree, let's acknowledge the both of them, the future looks bright for them and us, we get to follow them. You should check out some of Sarah's other stuff like her stuff on Britain's Got Talent or Showtime at the Apollo, you will quickly see that she has a very distinctive voice and her power is amazing and I will check out more of Angelina's and maybe we will meet in another comment section again

@Blue inGreer On your recommendation I have watched some of Sarah's stuff (there's not really a ton of it out there). She is a great singer. However, I don't think we are "apples to apples". I think 758sss summed up the differences pretty well above. This is just one of angelina's styles of singing. If you watch some of her other videos, I think you will see what others are talking about when they say she is like no other. The texture, the tone, the character... the natural emotion that comes straight from the soul. There is absolutely no "acting" going on when she sings. She never goes over the top with unnecessary runs... she never has a need to throw out big belty high notes just to show off. It's really hard to describe in words what makes her so special; it's just something you have to experience and you will know. I think if you just go look into some of her stuff you will get it. Someone above posted links to her stuff when she was younger (at 7 and 9). I recommend you start with those because they both really show how the music is just in her soul... it's the kind of stuff you just can't fake.

@758sss I think it's important to point out that the *only* reason Angelina is not huge right now is by choice. Her parents want her to have a normal childhood and finish her education. They know her skills are not going to go away, she has plenty of time for a career after she has a childhood. Her mother said in an interview that she has turned down 90% of the offers that have come in. She does not want to sign with a label and get locked into producing product, and touring, and basically giving up her freedom as an artist and as a child. I think when she does decide to "hit the scene", she will be enormous.

I have looked at Sarah ikumu cover of the same song AS Angelina Jordan here and yes Sarah and Angelina AS great voice and will do great in the future . And i have followed Angelina Jordan since she first appeared on Norway GOT talent at the age of 7 and she won ofcourse Norway GOT talent at the age of 8 and allready then she had that jazzy/blues voice and if you wanna see her stuff from the age of 7 and to her age now that are 13 you will see and hear her development through those 6 years of singing . Start with gloomy sunday at 7 and then summertime at the age of 8 and I put a spell on you at the age of 10 and million years ago at the age of 12 and her three orginals song that she wrote herself at the age of 12 they are called What is life , Oslo and shield and finish up with happier at the age of 13 when you done that I want to hear What you think of Angelina Jordan then and I promise that she will blow your mind in some of the songs but every song i wrote are great .

not her best,, you need to hear,, put a spell on you, born to die, a million years ago, in that order. they are much better suited for her range. promise a billion percent you will love them. not a request for reaction, just for your love of music.

I would say she didn't have the emotion in her voice that Whitney Houston had life experience can help with that, I have to say.

She is great and all but im so spoiled with Katrina Velarde i dont really hear any edgy high notes she needs a higher edgier register she sounds a bit nasal... she should stick to Jazz imo..
