I learned a lot from this video, my mom was in a wheelchair before she died, thankfully the people who helped her knew how to handle her wheelchair. Very helpful, thank you for the great information!😀👍

My son was in a wheelchair for 5 weeks after he broke a leg when he was 7.... at that age wheelies are not only fun, they're expected... his grandma was good like that and some of his best memories from that time are of her running around the hospital with him in the chair.....

This was amazingly helpful! I have said many times one should have a wheel chair driver’s license. Wish I saw this video before I Needed to start pushing one.

In addition to going backwards down a curb or ramp, the person pushing can also rear the chair back and go down a curb/ramp on the back wheels.

How do you push when your patient is much heavier than you are? I am about 65kg and my patient can be over 150kg. I have to use a lot of my body weight to push my patient up a ramp, it may also hurt my back as well. Any motorise device to assist in pushing patients up the ramp. As there are many ramps at our place or the airport.

This type of information should come with all new wheelchairs, but it doesn't. Instructions on how to use mobility aids should be available in pamphlets and put out in doctor's offices, hospitals, etc. As well as provided with the aids. Aids include crutches, canes, rollators, regular walkers, etc. Thankfully, we have U-tubers filling the gap. I was not aware that brake extenders existed. I looked on Amazon and found mary options. Thes vary in length. How do you know what length to get? (I was really surprised by the few likes this video received compared to the views. And the few comments it has.)

I pushed my mum in her wheelchair a few days ago, and since I've been in so much pain with my back. Specifically the upper middle part.

Having the seat parallel to the ground is no longer the recommended way to set one up if it's going to be used for more than just temporary use.

I like how he mentions seniors and then Parents but he doesn’t mention anyone else that you could possibly putting in a wheelchair it’s like the only people we could possibly ever be pushing the wheelchair or seniors yes that’s right I’m just being bad right now I’m not worried about it it’s just I don’t know maybe whenever people mention people with wheelchairs… I should say it seems like they think seniors and older people who are parents or whatever in that case they’re saying do you know seeing your parents probably I don’t know it’s funny

You could be rolling through hot gooey gum or stinking doggy poo, so check tires before trucking. Be careful out there. Cheers!
