I would add ziplock bags. They’re see through so they’re good getting through TSA or bag check at the parks, they’re good for putting your electronic devices in on water rides and for separating wet and dry stuff in your backpack.

Feminine hygiene products. Even if you aren't expecting to need these during your stay, sometimes your body just freaks out on you and you go off schedule. They do sell stuff at the gift shop but if you have a particular brand/style you like, just bring some extra.

Not every woman will like it, but I find that period panties and menstrual cups are my best friend! There is nothing worse than walking to find a bathroom with a soaked pad or tampon in 85 degree weather, only to have to wait for the bathroom. Both can be found on Amazon and I use the Diva cup when traveling. I have a fairly heavy flow but I typically use a cup 3 out of 7 days and empty it 2 to 3 times a day. As a side note, ask if your hotel offers Amazon deliveries: if you're an Amazon prime member, you can have things you forgot sent either the same day, next day, or in 2 days. Even if you don't use a cup, period panties will soak up the leaks and you can save your regular underwear!

It also occurs to me, if you have a daughter who isn't menstruating yet, but is 10-12 years old? Packing something for her is probably a good idea. A girl's first period is traumatic enough, now imagine if it happens unexpectedly in the middle of a WDW trip ...!

people who live in colder places really underestimate the cold in Florida. They hear 50 degrees as a high in winter and it sounds warm to them, but I live in Wyoming and I can tell you that 50 degrees in Florida feels a LOT colder than 50 degrees here!

DONT FORGET YOUR TICKETS!! We went to my cousins house by fort Myers and we were discussing what the morning ahead was going to be like and someone brought up the tickets. We all assumed another person packed it until that moment when we looked around the room and realized no one said they did! Being over 1000 miles away without your park tickets is super stressful. One other thing we bring is the packets of Gatorade powder. Drinks outside of the meal plan during the day are expensive (unless you pay for the refillable cup, and it does what you need). Otherwise, especially if you have hydration issues, (in our case, a family member who passes out from electrolyte imbalance) or have several smaller family members for whom you’d have to carry a bunch of heavy juice boxes/drink bottles around all day, it is a lot easier and cheaper to pack a few powder packets of Gatorade (or Crystal Lite, Propel, orange juice, Hawaiian Punch, etc.) and empty, reusable H20 bottles. Get free water or ice cups from a Cast Member or Quick Serve stand, (or water fountain- usually near a restroom) and mix with your packets when you need!

I stayed in All Star Sports and didn’t bring my USB charging bricks because I thought it would be like other Disney resorts that had USB ports in the outlets / walls. All Star Sports does not have that USB port luxury (unlike other resorts I’ve stayed in like Riviera and Port Orleans), so make sure you bring charging bricks for those cables just in case.

Yes! We went to Disney (in Florida) a couple years ago and we packed shorts and short sleeve shirts, and then it hit 50 degrees the week we were there! 😂 We ended up rushing to the nearest store and buying hoodies that stay in our "Disney Bags". When we asked the lady at the check-in desk where we could find some cheap-y hoodies or jackets because we didn't think to pack them, she laughed and said that it's not uncommon for people to not think about bringing a hoodie because they don't think it'll be cold or chilly. Definitely going to use these for our trip in a few weeks, too!

Perfect list, but would add this: we left our stroller outside while we went thru the line and on a ride (40 minutes). By the time we came out, there had been a rain squall and the stroller was soaking wet. Had to carry child for 6 more hours. . .so STROLLER COVER !! can be a $1. poncho (but another time, the wind blew it to the side and again stroller got wet.) Also, children's products for colds, headaches, etc.

My favorite "gotta bring" - rubber shoe covers. They roll up small for a small backpack. Perfect paired with a portable umbrella when the rain starts. Shoes -and socks! - will stay dry. Also, GLIDE stick to avoid rashes while walking miles and miles in the parks. My necessity I forgot - cord for cell phone battery pack . Cell phones are a necessity in WDW. The battery will die. Have a portable battery pack. The charging rods are nice, but may not be where you need them when you are ready to exchange, so, bring your own. Also, for on board planes, ear buds. I just leave them in my carry on now.

I noticed that MCO has started selling Hi-Chews where gum should be. It’s a great product and I highly recommend it. It was designed in a country where taking food out of your mouth (which gum qualifies) is very taboo. You basically chew it until it’s either gone or you’ve decided to swallow it, because it’s delicious candy.

I've enjoyed visiting WDW around 6x's or so. Starting with being a band chaperon a couple of times in the mid-80's, one honeymoon 93', 2-3x's during the mid-06/10's. I don't recall more than a couple of short afternoon showers. We did visit one time (from Wis.) right after Christmas. We were glad to experience the holiday decorations, very lush and festive (including some "coldish" temperatures, during the marathon etc. runs in January). For us, only good memories!

Definitely bring an extra pair of sunglasses and shoes. I’ve had sunglasses break before and you don’t want to have to buy an expensive pair if you need them. And an extra pair of sneakers is very important. Once I got stuck in a downpour (as I’m sure most of us have) and my shoes were still drenched the next day. Also, I swear by ziploc bags. You can put your phone in them on water rides, use them to organize your bag, keep hand sanitizer inside of it in case it leaks, put wet clothes in it when having to pack your suitcase to go home, etc. I always bring 3-4 of gallon, quart, and snack bags and I ALWAYS end up using all of them.

For my lists (packing, shopping, to-do, etc) I tried various ones over the years (Microsoft, Evernote, Google) but all fell short. Now I use Simplenote. It's free and replicates across all my devices - 2 Android and a PC (Does Apple too). Replication isn't always 100% but it's been a boon to me.

PREACH to the waterproof makeup! Not something you think you need but personally my eyes water on rides a lot because of the change from dark to bright sunlight and I would be a mess if I didn't wear waterproof mascara. Pajamas and hairbrushes are by far my most commonly forgotten travel items in general, not just for Disney

Went to Disney world when hurricane Matthew was coming in and I was in Florida when Matthew came to shore and learned the hard way about rain gear and layers. and no we did not intentionally go when there was a hurricane lol and I've been there plenty of times and still have forgotten about rain gear and I'm from Wyoming so I know layers real well

If the hotel room has a hairdryer, you can use that to quick-dry your tennis shoes after unexpected rain. On my last trip I had to step in quite a few puddles and soaked my sneakers. Went to the hotel, ran the blow dryer in them for 15-20 minutes, they were dry and warm and I was able to go back out and be fine for the rest of the day!

The most important things you need to make sure you bring are anything that cannot be easily replaced. You touched on prescription glasses or contacts. Add to that any medical or dental devices that you use or wear such as a nighttime mouthguard, retainer, knee brace etc. Don't forget prescription medications, especially anything that needs to be compounded. I have a Disney packing list that I've been printing, editing and keeping updated for over 20 years! Highlight those items on the list. Also, hairbrush. Did you know you can get a good brush at the spa on Disney property? My favorite one came from the GF spa. I have extremely curly hair, so the average comb or brush won't go through my hair.

Most important of all, never forget to bring politeness and good manners along and use them all day, every day. You will be in crowded, stressful situations, as will everyone around you. Nobody wants to hear you complaining, being rude to others or Number ONE: yelling at or threatening to discipline your tired and restless children or spouse. If you can't be respectful please just stay by the resort pool.

But AJ - Two hours before the flight you are already at the airport cause its so fun to be on the way. But the key is to pack logical and havethe iems you need in the morning prephered in certain areas so you can drop them into youre bag and go. Another key is to do mental notew on what you need and pack the most needed item that you only need on the trip as soon as you start packing. Also if you know where youre most needed items are you can check those areas before departure - The same tips goes for leaving youre hotel room on departure day. Dont forget to pack extra items in reserve. Like extra underwear or pants. Youd be happy on those rainy days. Johan.
