I don't know, but the term invention usually is applied to new ideas or at least improvements not DIY versions of things that have been around for hundreds or in half these cases thousands of years.

It depends on how you see it. Yea everything he made has been made before but he still invented his own versions even if it's not an upgrade it's technically still an invention which technically makes him an inventor
I, too, love inventing things that already exist (and that I could probably buy cheaper than making them)

Mr inventor is a better clamper than welder
Thank God we now have clamps in the shape of a C, thanks to this man. No gloves, no sandpaper, no deburring, no wire wheels to removes slag.

Not sure if anyone else caught this but the home made auger using the circ saw blade was cut and bent backwards. That plays hell on keyless chucks because they have a tendency to always want to loosen up in reverse. Other than that I made one with a 4 1/2” mini circ blade that’s great for burrowing perfect circles for transplanting plants from pots into the ground. Good stuff and useful ideas for stuff you probably already have lying around as scrap. This is exactly why I have a horde of old stuff in bins because one never knows what else it can be used for. I’ve made tools that had I had to purchase them it would have offset the project cost a lot. Always better to reuse old stock and tools to make new ones whenever you can. Recycling rocks! Some cool ideas in this vid, along with ones I’d never personally use but still, you’ve shown that being resourceful can save one big $!

All those cool things you created from scrap and all I can remember is how to now make a spring. Lol great work!! And he never claimed inventing them. He prepared 13 inventions for you to learn how to replicate. I for one enjoy using what would've been thrown out for something else useful. I save boxes for free template material, to-go plastic sauce cups for paint containers for smaller jobs, and even the to-plastic containers as paint brush cleaning trays. Keep it up human!!

Few know this but the clamp, lever, snips, and my favorite leg remover 3,000 ("invention" 12) did not exist before this video. Another astounding fact is that the U.S. Civil War doctors took direct inspiration from his limb remover 3000 design!
Parabéns! Ferramentas muito úteis.
All excellent ideas! I probably liked the first clamp idea as the best of the whole group. So elegant and possible to make with or without welding. Many good ideas. "Logic will get you from A to B. Creativity will take you everywhere." These are the kinds of videos that should permeate KZread, not the miasmas of dribble so prevalent on KZread.
Necessity is the mother of all inventions!
Algumas ideias muitos interessantes, mas grande parte são cópias caseiras de ferramentas que já existem e não invenções, pra ser invenção tem que se algo que não existia antes, e não copias.

I've got to commend you for practically simplifying tools that commercially are more advanced mechanically for no real reason. DIY channels often get a lot of flak but praise is due when you share something both useful and practical. This makes me think "oh duh, that's how you put that together" in a way I can appreciate.

With no reason?? wich tool in this video is more advanced mechanically 4 no reason? i don't think so! Tell me one example of tool from this video wich is more advanced without reason? :D you know... engineers are not stupid people, and everything they make have reason why is that so, true is.. it's not case every time, there are small number of stupid engineers but that what they make isn't last long. Maybe some tools in this video simpliest than original, but is it simple to work with it, or how long it will last...
