I did the something similar where before I went to bed I put the grim reaper decoration I had at the time (I still have it but the head fell off) in my dinning room that can be seen once someone walked into my house. I was hopping to scare my step dad but I end up scaring my step brother with and it was hilarious when I found out the next day.

When I was eleven me and my family moved from a tenemant to a back and front door two story house with an attic. Me and my brothers and sisters were exploring the attic and found a lego box full of dirty syringes. It turned out the previous tenant had sevaral grandsons who were junkies. And judging by the post we got for years afterwards there were at least forty people living in that four bedroom house or they were up to their eyes in debt in several other peoples names

I found a badly injured opossum in my attic last year. His left back leg was missing below the knee and it was a recent injury because it was still bloody and bone was visible. They have been known to chew off badly injured limbs. Anyway, I grabbed him by the back of his neck and put him in my cats carrier and took him to a friend of mines wildlife rehabilitation center. Warning: if you live in an apartment complex on the top floor, look into your closets. If you have an attic opening in one of your closets, go up and look around. Many units that have attics connect ALL the upper apartments through the attic!!! I discovered this while living in an apartment. I kept hearing scratching and we knew squirrels were up there, so I went up and I could see that I could get to everyone else's apartments through my attic and they could also get in mine. I had mine bolted shut. But if someone really wanted to get in, they could.

I have my last apartment in Miami in 2021. It was haunted because a Satanist lived there drawing portals and symbols on the wall. In the late 90s when I was in high school I had fallen asleep on the sofa one night and heard my mom call my name from down the hall. Woke up and there was a shadowy man hurrying past the living room and into the front bathroom (I was the only male in the home). My mom came and asked why I was just standing in her doorway. I was frozen in terror but quietly pointed to the bathroom and we both fled the home and called police. When they arrived nobody was there but the attic had a bit of insulation that had fallen on the floor. We painted the door shut but over the next few months kept finding strange stuff happening at night or when we’re gone and attic paint seal would be broken. Turns out that there was a man entering our home through the attic (it’s a condo and there was a break in the division between us and neighbors unit in the attic not easily visible) and he was caught one night when I opened the front door and he was standing in our kitchen and I recognized him as the weird neighbors adult son. Never found out what he was doing or why he was watching us sleep but these stories hit hard for me being I have my own attic horror story.

Our house has two attics, one where we keep all our Christmas decorations and old knickknacks/photos in, and another that has a series of trap doors. The reason for the trap doors is because our house is actually what's called an "envelope" house, where it basically has double walls and an airspace in between (like a thermos). Then we have skylights that bring in light. The purpose of that design is to have a sort of "solar heating". The trap doors, while creepy-sounding at first, are actually meant to help keep the head in during the winter, then we open them during the summer. I guess lucky for me, my parents built the house in 1983 and we've been here ever since, so we're the only family that's been here. If there were a range of previous owners before us, there'd be a lot of places where you might stumble across creepy things or strange artifacts from the past. o u o

There was a room in the attic that locked from the outside as well. They also found a bunch of videotapes. It was apparently still part of an ongoing police investigation & tho I tried searching the internet high & low, could not find the end to the article nor what was on the tapes. Best guess would unfortunately be kidnapping & child pornography...I was fully expecting that story to be on this or the basement list. Honestly surprised it was not.

I would take a very hard look at the husband in the first one. Someone didn’t kill a woman and stash her body in the attic and immediately move out, leaving the body behind for the next occupants to find. Someone also, did not kill a woman and break into a random house and stash her in the attic through the master bedroom. I believe the family smelled the body he thought he wrapped air right and it got to a point where his wife was fed up with the smell and called the authorities to help them. The husband couldn’t stop this and so he went along with the families story.

It's not an attic story but kind of close... when I was 13 my family moved to the state I live in now and we lived in a townhouse. Our garage had what was the closest thing to an attic we had. It was a shared single car garage on each side and there was a fair amount of space in the part near our house where you'd first go in the detached garage. I painted a lot so my parents let me use that area as my little studio and from the very beginning it always felt like I was being watched. I told my parents after hearing some noises because I thought an animal got in the wall and this was about a month after we moved in. My dad was a retired veteran and officer and very protective of his family at that time so he grabbed his gun and went out to look around. Next thing we hear him yell out to my mom call the cops... then you hear if you move even an inch mother f'er I'll kill you! The husband from next door was up there totally nude, had cameras in the garage looking at my studio as well as cameras in my bedroom and bathroom upstairs as we shared those walls. He had all the equipment up in the garage for viewing, and would pleasure himself while watching me paint. He later told the cops he made a special mixture with all my paints and watching me touch them and use them turned him on...I was 13 and that sick POS did that to me. I found out when I was in my 20s that he had plans to take me and keep me as his wife. Thankfully he was sent to prison and died there.

What he did to my paints really messed me up, we didn't have a lot, and I babysat to earn the money to buy them, so I just gave up on it for a long time. It's made me more aware though, and I check every little nook and cranny if I hear a noise now. I'm sure happy my parents listened to me as well, the plans he had already written up, I don't think I would have been found but if I were it would have been a long time.

As far as the 2nd story goes, depending on when the house itself was built, that could have been what they called a "disappointment room". Basically if there was a member of the family that was seen as unfit in society, i.g. typically disabled or mentally ill; they would be locked in the room to be kept out of the public eye. As far as the room itself goes there's usually one, or no windows, the bare minimum like the single bed, and a hidden door that can only be locked/unlocked from the outside. And much like the discovery, the doors were meant to be hidden in places like the attic, or in any place within the house that can be considered out of sight. These reached popularity throughout the 17-1800's, and were continually used throughout the 1900's.

My grandmas got a really freaky attic in her rural Pennsylvania farmhouse. The door to it is in the second story bedroom, and late at night, even with the latch shut the door will slowly creak open from time to time. The windows up there have essentially been nailed shut to keep the insulation tight, so a draft really can’t explain it. The whole house is super old, like cobblestone foundation and a hand pumped well outside old, which gives the whole place a sort of spooky atmosphere at night. I’m the last guy to jump to a supernatural conclusion, but I really struggle to come up with any natural force that would cause a door to unseat from its latch that doesn’t involve some things I’d rather not consider.

I love the clip of the wasps nest as I am a pest control technician or exterminator if your from the U.S and I deal with wasps nest all the time especially summer time and yeah it’s quite a big nest but it’s about standard size if all the right conditions are there for the wasps, the biggest nest I ever dealt with ended up filling 7 black bin liners and it was just a bit bigger than your bath tub so yeah you can imagine the excitement when I came across it because it was HUGE and what a work of art it was 👌👍😁💯

Wish we knew more about the 2nd one. Could’ve been worth contacting the police. Like who built the house/owned it prior? And cross check missing persons in the area…
