It will still arc, no difference. Using a resistor to charge the Internal capacitor of the inverter could help.

Sparks are not as dramatically important as they used to be as this battery is lithium and not a flooded battery that emits hydrogen gas

We bought the Elfhub , 2, 100ah. We bought them after your review. Knowing that the batteries would be stored indoors, and temp controlled. It’s been over 18 months, and I am loving them! We have never gone this long boondocking, without the generator. We are on day 45 without the use of the generator.

Nice, this type of battery are still the best option for small boats and sailboat, where space is tight and builders create spaces only for this size of battery. It is always a good reference to have them tested and known what the community think about them.

Notice they only run resistive load for a few mins...try a 1 hp motor or air conditioner. You also need individual charger for each li batt. Never put li batt and lead acid in parallel

Habe mir 2 mal 100Ah von diesen LifePo Batterien gekauft das diese identische Maße der AGM Gel Batterien hatten und so 1zu1 unter den Sitzen meines Campers verbaut werden konnten. Die Verarbeitung scheint äußerlich wertig zu sein und die Leistungsangaben lt. Verkäufer passen auch soweit. Der Grund für diese Anschaffung war die Gewichtseinsparung, die Leistung, die fast 100% Nutzungsfähigkeit der 200Ah und dieser super Preis. Eine 200Ah von Liontron hätte mich 1800€ gekostet, das doppelte also. Einbau hat ohne Probleme funktioniert, Ladebooster per Dipschaltern,auf LifePo konfiguriert und fertig war der Umbau. Erstaunlich war die Leistungsfähigkeit und der geringe Spannungsabfall der Bordbatterien ohne Landstrom. Der Camper steht jetzt den 3.Tag ohne Landstrom und der Ladestand ist bei 99%!!!Bei meinen AGM wäre dieser jetzt schon bei 89% gewesen. Auch die Ladeleistung via meines Solarpaneels ist wesentlich effektiver als vorher. Fazit: Wenn die Dinger halten, TOP

I'm getting a 2023 motor coach. It has 1 200 watt solar panel, a 1000 watt inverter , a dual controller what ever that is and 2 100 AH AGM batteries. I plan to up grade the inverter to 2000 or 3000 but initially would like to upgrade to a 200 or 300 AH lithium battery, can I just drop a lithium in with my current equipment ?

No. You will need equipment that is made to charge lithium batteries.

In the event of a black out can this battery be recharged with an inverter connected to a running car?

Just to be clear - this is an example indicating this battery is massively overloaded for trying to run 2000W inverter!! The max load that should be going thru those cable from a lithium battery is 100 amps. (Note it It should be only 20A for a lead acid battery) The example shown indicates a load on the battery (displayed on the clip-on amp meter) of over 170A which will severely reduce the battery life. The bigger the inverter, the more batteries you need. Hopefully this saves people from trying to replicate this scenario thinking that it is useable for long term usage.

There are two kinds of clamp meter A clamp meter that can only measure AC current And a clamp meter that can measure a dc current Dc clamp meter is expensive While ac clamp meter is cheap

BMS sole function of the batteries I have built controls what max charge can go in (charging) not what comes out of it. Obviously its main function is to balance the cells from voltage miss alignment. Having a 100amp BMS is pointless unless you can realistically put in 100 amps. Max charge I dare to run is 30 amps continuous...Personal preference..

Einen Wechselrichter schließt man NIEMALS so an!!! Der Energiefluss beim Anschließen kann die Kondensatoren beschädigen! Bevor man nach Masse den Plus Kabel an die Batterie verbindet, hält man zwischen Plus und Pluskabel eine 12V Glühbirne. Somit laden sich die Kondensatoren langsamer auf und der Wechselrichter wird nicht beschädigt! Das Pluskabel anschließend umgehend richtig an den Pluspol verbinden.

Hi I use 4 elfhub battery bank there pretty good . The cost is down to 220 a battery. Almost the cheapest on the market that actually work.
