    I think these smaller guys wrestle some of the best bouts. Especially as we come towards the later stage of the tournament.

    Another fun contest to watch, thanks for the effort you put into your videos and for sharing. Wrestling is a bigger sport in the US than here in Europe. At what age can you start competing in High School?

    Age four is the youngest competition I am aware of here. In America, high school ages are between 14-18.

    When I attend local high school matches, there is only one referee. Is it common to have two in the Midwest?

    Since we can only see action that is occurring on our side of the wrestlers at any given point in time, an assistant official positioned opposite of the referee reduces blind spots. Of course, that doubles the cost to tournament management, and so assistant officials are employed only in situations where tournament management feels it is critical to do so. It is not unique to the Midwest, it is unique to tournaments of critical importance.
