1210, Picton to Buxton, in 2004.
Ойын-сауық
Built in 1878, by Beyer Peacock, Manchester, 1210 is a classic example of Victorian engineering elegance.
It's nice to think that this was once the way to travel and that 1210 would, almost certainly, have made this run more than 130 years ago.

Absolutely marvellous footage, Very English atmosphere in many ways. Thanks for sharing
Amazing to think these little locos were the express engines of their time
In the 1950s, as a kid, I saw one or more of these in Eveleigh yard. I think on shunting duty as I never recall them on mainline use. From Eveleigh to Picton would use a full tank of petrol. Stavros
Is 1210 going to run agian and is it still operational
Is that an American whistle? That is the first decent sounding whistle I’ve heard on a British steam loco. Thanks for sharing.

This is Australia, although a British built loco. New South Wales five chime whistle which is pretty much a copy of a Nathan. They are a lovely whistle, that's for sure.
Wow...can I use your Four Train parallel video in my train compilation video credit to you in video will be given
Such a shame that she's not running anymore and will only be a static exhibit.

She could run again. Never say never.
I miss 12 10 there What a shame. :-( Truly a charming ver=teren! {-)
4:50 WTF Buxton is only 99km from Central. It felt further than that. So if you can take a back road from Thirlmere via The Oaks to Penrith I guess you are in the Sydney basin. Well sort of.
