All this time I thought you were just some funny guy that hangs out with the boosted boys. Everything about this video was a surprise to me. The first thing I noticed was the clean and organized shop. Then it was the sheer amount of the information presented. Even the production value of the video and the sound was very good.

Forged pistons being a 15k throw-away item are in the past. What kills the forged pistons is ringland wear but it is caused by cold startups while the pistons can rock in the cylinders due to excessive PTW clearance. SoCal Diesel has completed testing years ago on generic Mahle forged pistons with simulated startups and run-time where they were able get over 70k miles out of them and still measured within spec. Piston alloys have made massive improvements in the last five years vs what they used to be.

At my shop we did a frame off restoration on my 88 Chevy dually crew cab. I did a LBZ Duramax for it. We did a cam, bigger turbo, o ringed block, Callies crank, carrillo rods, diamond pistons, port work, and other goodies. I did it to pull my 88 Monte SS around the country to diffrent drag racing events and because I thought it would be cool same yr matching paint pull my enclosed gooseneck around. It is my first Duramax build and with a 53' enclosed load, a/c, radio, and everything on I run up the Appalachian Mountains around my area at 80/85 mph like nothing is being pulled. I love it and I won't give my D up for any other diesel.

I come from Kyle's Channel and I've got to say didn't know you were so smart and your shop is so clean compared to his you do everything the right way which I'm constantly bitching at him to do you can't even put down a piece of cardboard he'll go and slide hey complete racing engine along the concrete ground and it blows my f****** mind so I love you Channel and everyone's doing Honda s*** I don't know squat about diesel the only thing I know is that it doesn't have spark plugs and that they can run away on you and burn their own oil as fuel so I'm looking forward to watching more videos I love it when you describe what's going on and how things work and how they are improved to work better because it's a race application and I love your work ethics even if you don't post a video for three months that's okay with me you got to deal with getting customer cars in and out or should I say trucks so you got your priorities straight I got mad respect for you
