I have never laughed so much, in a very long time! Stephanie and Dan are the best comedy duo yet. I can’t thank you enough for sharing this epic gardening adventure ! First of all it’s an enormous venture. Secondly it’s hard physical labour, in the rain no less. The physical and emotional deterioration over the time shown was palpable, and you both handled it with humour and grace. Just love you guys. Thanks so very much for sharing. Yes l feel your pain . I did this with my daughter once before a wedding in the family , thirty years after we still share a garden and laugh , and we have the same table and bench , and we both sub , and watch you and talk and laugh with you. And she is actualy my daughter in law . We are on 6 acres and we both have an amazing garden . And the garden nursery love us , and we can resist every years , Stephanie Lalande peoples are so wonderful and you have so many friends , et on vous aime tellement et quand Mammy viendras ce seras la joie complete Gros bisous a tous

It is okay, they are going to plant a few Night Shade plants for Dan. Lovely to look at, dangerous to touch.

I burst into a fit of giggles when Stephanie said "I'm planting Philip!"

That was an epic execution….you are all such a marvellous bunch of humans….well done everyone…

Stephanie, in just two years ,you have transformed your life, and the chateau, as well as our lives watching your vlogs. Your father would be very proud of you. So pleased to see this completed, excuse me, planted. This summer will be amazing! Oh the the colors to come. How kind that your guests made you that lovely snack. Ceril, what a find. It was fun watching you all speak French in the kitchen. When Dan quits talking you know he's tired. No under his breath snark? He's about to collapse. Great episode.

I loved this episode but what I loved the most was "people speaking French" (and the translation), yes this is a French Chateau with French Speaking family, it was lovely to hear the language spoken. I would love to see and hear more, and of course Dutch between Phillip and Andie and any other visitor.

I cried laughing at this, but OMG didn’t you all do marvellously well!!! It’s going to be epic!! Those empty pots are going to be extremely useful for cuttings and seedlings for other parts of the garden. It's going to be wonderful to watch that new part of the garden grow over the next year or 2.

Beautiful just lovely to watch this from Davey’s original landscape plans to the finished glorious garden. Stephanie you bring such grace and joyful bliss to your projects it’s a pleasure to watch. I sit here in my home laughing when you laugh and smiling about all of the activities. And all of the food prepared by your new chef looks sumptuous.

Congratulations La Landers, guests and helpers! This vlog was one of the most epic, exciting and inspiring to watch and enjoy. It was marvellous to see the planting of your magnificent Chapel garden with such camaraderie and Joie de vivre! Stephanie there is a saying for relationships to, "let the winds of heaven blow between you,' and now your plant and Philip's are mirroring this wisdom. I have never seen Dan laugh so much as he does when you work together. How lovely of your guest to bring you delicious invigorating cuisine and lead you to relax with wine and more goodies at the table. It’s not just a beautiful assortment of flowers, there is a beautiful bouquet of people. In the mud and the rain, such lovely folk. This why your viewing family grows and grows. We get to spend time with you!

OMG, what a monumental effort! As a gardener I can see Davey's vision. It's going to be beautiful. I think I identified some of those ground cover plants, I believe I saw either tiarella or heuchera. They are beautiful whether blooming or not and they only get prettier and fuller with time. Mass plantings have so much impact, especially such a large garden. Kudos to Dan, Davey and all the Lalanders on a wonderful accomplishment! Lotsa love from Texas!

I loved everything about this! I used to do my best gardening in the rain; a little rinse off as I was getting muddy. I still time my weeding for after a good soaking storm. It helps me pull the roots out of the ground easier. I’ve planted many a “dirt plugs” as they were cheeper than the bigger plants. It’ll all look beautiful in the end 🥰

Stephanie, Dan's accessory is the digger! I love all of Davy's plant choices especially the Isabelle and Percy. It reminded me of Percy getting all spiffed up for dinners. Can't wait to see what the garden looks like a year from now. Also welcome Cyril! That lunch looked amazing!

I am a floral gardener, and deer, groundhogs and chipmunks are the bane of my existence. Do you have deer there? I'm worried about the rhododendrons. Mine are fenced, and it's not pretty. The deer are destroying my evergreens, eat all my tulips, and won't let me have hostas anymore. May your lovely space be left in peace!

Many moons ago, when I was young, my husband and I designed a garden from scratch and we had hundreds of shrubs and plants delivered to our mere ⅓ of an acre ex-orchard plot, all on the same day. It took the two of us simply ages to finish the planting, much of it in the pouring rain.
