Great tarping job, it must take a lot of experience to learn tarping skills...Good show !!
Nice sheeting job Dan. Just a thought. Have you considered getting a cordless sabre (sawzall) for trimming the excess off the bearers to save carpeting them .I used a handsaw in the 70's in England to do it.Made my life a bit easier. keep up the great work and I'm happy you didn't get hurt when you fall.New Zealand out @ 9•02 Friday night.☺☺☺☺☺
You are very enjoyable to watch, didn't like seeing that fall. Keep up the great videos

Careful SuperTruckerDan. Tarping is perhaps the most dangerous part of flatbed trucking as you are aware. Climbing up, down, and across the load can be tricky. As well as the climbing onto and off of the trailer. Remember, Teresa needs you home in one piece, un-marred, and safe. Keep it cool!
Great job Dan nice video glad your ok with the wee stumble /fall
Excellent job and description of what you're doing and why for us non-truckers. Thank you.
hey Dan, Man, I hate you fell down... looked painful and if nothing else, sore the next day. I hope you are ok! I still enjoy your VLOG's and you make it easy. Keep up the good work!

I hope that spill didn't hurt you too bad. Been there, done that! Happy travels Dan.
Lucky you're okay after taking that tumble. Hot weather just drags it right out of you. Be safe, thanks for the video.
Thanks Dan u work two hard sir. Good video remember my days Doing same thing HArd Work. !!!
Always a big surprise when you run out of floor to walk on !!!!!. Those short falls are usually the worst. You have no time to maneuver yourself for a landing. Stay safer out there!
Here's an Idea... take the two boards you put in front of and behind the tarp. Cut a groove wide and deep enough to put the tie downs to ensure they won't slip off.
nice job on the tarp. I feel your pain on the heat . i work in it all day long . cant wait for 6pm.

I am driving flatbed combination semi+calf, so 13,5 m+7,8 m. On load machines, building elements, crane parts etc. Last days swetting and swetting and also once falling down. But no camera's, no eye whitnesses.
And just a few weeks ago I asked if you have ever fallen off the flatbed. Made I shouldn't have asked. So how did you trip up? Did you fall off the trailer or did you trip up when you were already on the ground? You're in good shape, and I'm glad you're OK! By the way you have the best excellent quality videos. Best trucker videos are with supertrucker Dan!

When its hot and you are also in ur coveralls, drink more than water. You need to be replacing those electrolytes too (Potassium and salt). Power ade, gatorade or water and an apple, orange or banana and a wee bit o somthin salty. When you feel thirsty you are already behind the curve. Retired First Responder. Your gonna catch heck when Teresa finds out. LOL
i like loads like that, nice, easy, on down the road , just gotta cover the sharp edges, slives are tarps like butter , i pull flat bed for boyd brothers, 2 and half yrs into it so far

Yes heat is a killer , i wear a sweat band to help combat the heat, it helps more then you think , allows me to work outside another 40 minutes or more if i pace myself, that usually means getting one full side done and half of the other all bungied up before i need to stop for a break
@sojutime

hope you didn't get hurt dan
At least you didn't fall against the van trailer. Those coveralls don't look cool.
#16513 bungee mania..lol was that a stunt double
Always sucks when you miss that dot bumper when stepping down glad you didn't roll a ankle or something
that's a bit more than a 6 foot tarp. I thought you just had to smoke tarp it. hope you didn't hurt yourself when you fell. God bless
Don't you just love appt. times? Only to get to the shipper/consignee on time and have a line of trucks in front of you!
Super trucker down
Have you thought about getting a Conestoga??
Hey Dan, My DH pulls for Mercer as well in the van division. He started on flat, but with rods and screws in lower back, it really started taking a toll on him. We love Mercer for sure. Anyway, I love your videos. Its nice watching the places you drive. I see places again that I used to ride with my DH a few years back, but can't now. That being said, keep 'em coming, drive safe and tell the wife hello. I love Callie too...cant forget her Linda

Dan, in your opinion, how long does it take for a Thermo-King Tri-Pac A.P.U. to pay for itself?
@SuperTruckerdan

+Sam O A would 2-3 years depending on the price of fuel. The higher the cost of fuel the faster it will pay for itself
Agree with below comments. Your videos have a certain something that make them addictive. Not sure what?? This load was a tough one for you - obviously. An example of the back breaking work truckers talk about at the stops. Question: Are there certain areas/states in the country that you avoid? Or, will you go anywhere if the price is right?(within reason..) That might be a great 5 min topic on a video :)

Great video. Maybe it's been suggested before,but if not,here goes. Why couldn't that heavy dunage you guys carry be made out of fiberglass? Save weight,less heavy lifting required, wouldn't rot,could have holes or attachment points molded in at the manufacturing process,etc.

If you look at all the products made from fiberglass - airplane components,ladders,just to mention 2, I would think that being able to customized the shape of them would be great.
