There is almost nothing worse than watching the things that you have worked so hard for go up in flames. Knowing you can't do anything to reverse the flames. I feel your pain buddy. But always move forward and you have shown us that. We'll done. It looks amazing 👏

Nice build 👌. Recommend you get at least a 5lb ABC fire extinguisher instead of that 2.5 bc one. Just my fire brain churning.

Very nice man, good job. Definitely put some sort of latches on the cabinets though.

Ya, my cabinets popped open every time. I’ve got the same shower and water heater. Having the shower was a must. I’m not keen on the bucket potty but it works. I use a taller 7 gallon bucket and use the liners with cat litter in the liner to kill the smell, otherwise I just use the porta potty at the fly in.

I missed this one somehow. Gutted to see your rig go up in flames like that. Great build and walk round though. Will you be getting another toy hauler or did the conflagration put you off?

I am in shock at what I saw with your trailer and truck burning. But got questions. 1. What was the defect that caused the fire? 2. Did their insurance cover everything or? 3. Have you loaded those cabinets and gone down any bumpy roads yet? I’m not sure they will holdup as they arent designed to take bumps. 4. Have you thought about just running plumbing from your tankless water heater to sink faucet and shower faucets? Wouldn’t be hard at all. Can’t wait to see it in person at next Fly in.

1. Final report is not out but it is believed by the inspector that it was a crimped wire under the slide out. Insurance told me that after investigating the same company has had 33 other incidents like mine in the past four years.2. Yes all covered….like a good neighbor, State Farm was there! 3) first drive they held up, gonna modify the upper cabinets so they don’t open as I found much of the contents everywhere. Gonna be driving to Florida in January so that will be the first test so stay tuned. 4) I did think about running the plumbing to the sink but was getting exhausted with the project, may do that in the spring, don’t think it will be necessary but we will see. Look forward to seeing to as well.

Nice job! Does the trike fit in it without breaking it down? I highly recommend solar panels if you haven’t already thought of it. Love the bright finish.

@@David_Wolfe yeah the Flash Cruiser has a wide wheel base. I was talking about the front wheel. It's hard to tell in the video..does the shower still allow room for the front of the trike to sit in the middle? I've been considering building a shower inside. Mine is an outdoor shower with tent...not great when its cold out.

Dave, Thanks for all your videos and this one is very timely for me. I'm looking to do the same. I have a flash cruiser as well. Does it fit easy? And now that you have some miles on it, is 12ft long enough or would you go with a 14ft if you could? What do you pull it with and do you know what it weights all loaded up? What do you think you spent on the project? All the best!

Hey John thanks for watching. I’m completely fine with a 12 foot. I’m pulling it with a dodge ram 1500. No issues there. I think I bought the trailer for 4000 and probably put another five into it if that./Cruiser folds up and fit easily under the bed with plenty of room to spare. Hope this information helps.

@@David_Wolfe Thank you David, mine is an older model that doesn't break down as easy as the newer ones. I was hoping to just roll it in. The manual says the wheels are 73"OD. It should clear the ramp door opening easily. right?

@@johnchitwood6888 I dont this my wheel base would rollin. I use a big tank but it uses very little. Did not try a little tank but I do not want to take the chance running out

Great job Dave! Just one question? Where do you put the toys?! Is all that going to fit under your bed? And that sucks about your trailer burning down, I remember the video when you just got it! What's your gas mileage like with the cargo trailer?

It stays out. There is no issue as I have it very secured.

Those RV are overpriced garbage and a lot of people are finding out the hard way with a lot of defects and plastic parts that break constantly, so you made the right choice with a cargo trailer.

Nice work Dave! I've been thinking about doing that to my little 6'x12', after seeing Gorilla's trailer at his hangar in Wauchula. He's got a pretty sweet setup there to get out of the blazing heat. Similar LED lighting inside. He had that thing 60° inside when it was over 90° - just like an icebox, lol. You went all-out on that one!! Gave me some ideas, but my space would be limited, since it's a flat front and not a V-nose like yours. The thing is getting long in the tooth (2002 model). On my way to Wauchula earlier this year, I made it from MA to GA before the whole left side caught the wind and just about completely peeled off! I looked in the mirror and couldn't see the entire middle lane! Glad I caught it before it became catastrophic. All the screws had fallen out, since the wood inside is so old. A little Gorilla tape and all was well, aside from some beat up looking finish down low . I just need time and motivation - both are in short supply these days, HAHAHA! I'll keep this in the back of my mind, though. Thanks for sharing ... and that camper was CRAZY!! Defective hot water heater, or heater? MAN! Cooked your truck, too! That must've got the blood pumping! Glad nobody was hurt. Thank God it wasn't in your driveway!! Could've been much worse. Things can be replaced, as much as it still sucks.
