12 Ways a Wife Can Show Respect to Her Husband

12 Ways a Wife Can Show Respect to Her Husband
1. Listen without interrupting.
"Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives." 1 Peter 3v1
2. Avoid being belittling or sarcastic.
“An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who causes shame is like rottenness in his bones.” Proverbs 12v4
3. Affirm him verbally for his work.
4. Support his goals and aspirations.
5. Take care of your appearance.
6. Prioritize sex in your marriage.
7. Yield to his leadership.
"Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives." 1 Peter 3v1
"Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything." Ephesians 5v22-24
8. Give him space.
9. Stay loyal.
10. Show interest in his activities and do them together.
11. Support his family.
12. Don't gossip about your marriage struggles to others.

I have been married for 37 years. We were friends before we got married, and that friendship stayed. That is a very important part of a good relationship between a married couple. The understanding and talking things through without fighting. ...we kept that bright and happy friendship. That is also made possible because both of us serve God.

I was not raised with a godly marriage, so I want to have time for these biblical ideas and truths to take root in my mind and let God teach me what I'm lacking. Thank you for this! 🙏❤️

I am praying that there are three mothers in law "to be" out there, who are on their knees praying for you three ladies. Keep the oil in your lamps for when the bridegroom comes! One of my biggest blessings in life is my daughter in law. She radiates the joy of the Lord, has gently led our son back into fellowship, and she herself was not raised in a Christian home. Her quiet, gentle spirit is powerful.

Your husband won’t listen to you. I’m calling it now. Learn to love him for what he is rather than risking your marriage over a magic book written 2000 years ago. He, nor I needs to be “saved” and I much rather go to hell in your eyes than giving in to the lies of the church.

Found this and love the definition!!!! The phrase translated as “help meet” comes from two Hebrew words, ezer and kenegdo. Ezer means “help,” but in a distinct way. In English, a “helper” is sometimes thought of as someone in a low position, but ezer describes strength. It suggests that the individual has power to rescue others.

Thank you for this !! Both men and women Need to respect each other. When a Women feels deeply loved and cherished it would be quite easy to respect her husband…. And i understand men need space when overwhelmed, with that women also need to be verbally reassured by the men that he will step away for a moment and return because he loves his wife. Constant validation and affirmation we women need….

I love the end point! I’ve been married for 15 years and I’ve never been told that. I do see the wisdom in it. Now, I surround myself with married women, who are primarily pastors wives…and I have mostly mentors that also act as friends (it’s not all by choice, but sometimes God protects and preserves us by keeping us in small circles). Women, that is such sound advice. I honestly had to ask myself, “do I do those things for my husband?” And found myself convicted on some of them. It also doesn’t matter what you face in your marriage or what he does against you, while you are married you are accountable for how you honor the Lord as you honor your husband. Thank you for this video!

There is a group of women in my Bible study who do this sort of thing. At first, they tried to befriend me. While we were talking, I gushed about how wonderful my husband is and how thankful I am for him. How we had gone through a hard time, but he was just so incredible through it. And they actually said they were shocked by how positive I was and admitted that they usually get together and "vent." They ended up not inviting me to hang out with them, again. It hurt my feelings at the time, and I was sad because I was hoping I was making new friends. I have since heard that they badmouth their husbands all the time and gossip about everyone behind their backs. I now feel like the Lord protected me from their negative influence. I also feel kind of glad that they realized I wouldn't fit in their group because I behave differently. I'm still kind towards them when I see them, and I hope they will learn and grow and that the Holy Spirit helps them to overcome these behaviors.

He enjoys board games, although I find them a bit challenging. Still, I help by putting sleeves on cards or organizing game pieces. I’ll ask about these games and he’s wonderful how enthusiastic he gets ☺️! Every other Friday evening, he has board game nights with friends, and I bake homemade treats for them 🍰 . Showing genuine interest in your husband's hobbies is crucial, as it allows you to bond together! 💕

A man shouldn't put his ego, himself first since Jesus never did.A man isn't supposed to bring you down, hold you back instead of supporting your dreams and goals since Jesus never did to us.A man isn't supposed to cheat since Jesus never did,...should I go on?

Wow thanks! In not married yet, but I pray that when I am about to marry, this video would pop up again🥰 It is completely new to me that what men need first is respect, and then love. Or is it that they feel loved when they get the respect that's due to them?
