You should watch the video anyway for more detail, but: 1. Don't cut your hair (keep it healthy and only trim when damaged). 2. Wash your hair less - learn how to do a good refresh. 3. Sleep with a bonnet. 4. Use rice water (link provided). 5. Use DIY hair masks and conditioners. 6. Use satin scrunchies. 7. Eat a healthy diet. 8. Get enough sleep. 9. Use wigs when you want a different style. 10. Braids (protective styling). 11. Finger detangling (link provided). 12. Don't colour your hair.

When Lana mentioned not washing your hair once a week does that mean I can still deep condition and use my rice water once a week? Just miss out the shampoo

@@rhi9909 I mean, you can do whatever you want. Treatments like that are more effective on clean hair but if you don't want to wash it you'll still get some of the benefits of the treatment.

5 years ago I had the same hair... But always used to wear it straight cause of the community that I used to live in. Because of heat, my hair became so thin and it's now sooooo short 😭😭😭 recently I start to love my curls and I am taking good care of it. Pray for me to return my old healthy hair

Omg, the exact same thing happend to me. My hair use to down to my waist when it was straight so I wanted it like that all the time. And the fact that the community I grew up in, everyone had straight hair did not help. So I would always beg my mom to always to straighten my hair. She would do it about 5 times a year.(may not seem like a lot but my hair is sensitive) After a while, people started to ask me if I cut my hair which really confused me. One day my aunt told me I had heat damage and it made me really upset. I realize that my hair was about chin length when straight. So for the past 4 years, I've been doing my own hair and been moisturizing and taking care of it. I try to only straighten it one every other year. The last time it was straight, it was about an inch below my shoulders. Hopefully it goes back to its original length because I miss it.

MylifeAsBero فلوقات why you have then straight hair on you picture?
@TheGamingZCatZ
4 жыл бұрын
Thats what happened to aunt! So when she was younger she had curly hair, and she always wanted straight and thick hair, so she always straightened it. But eventually it it turned her hair into thin and short (as she called it, he hair ain’t even that bad to me) and she is super jealous of my hair because it’s thick and short, so she tells me that story a lot. It makes me really sad :( i hope you find a great solution, and remember to never compare your looks to other people!
Watching this at work and my boss pecks over my shoulder and asked me “why are you watching a video of yourself at work?” My year is officially complete. Best compliment ever!!!!!!

I no longer use harsh chemicals to color my hair but I use henna. I love red and now that I've got some grey I have some very pretty coppery highlights! I'm still growing out what I bleached. It's taking forever but I'm getting there!
I had tailbone length 3b hair and this year I got really stressed, I have lost so much of it. Its heartbreaking, 5 years down the drain literally. I dont know how to come back from it honestly.

Your hair has grown so much! Can you show your hair straightened? Just to see the length because it must be so long! Love you 🌈
Definetly going to use all of these since I want my hair as long as yours !
I would love to see u try out the hair paint wax that’s been going around :)) since you don’t color your hair this seems like a great non damaging alternative
You’re so gorgeous! Can you do a henna video?
Love the content you create. Thank you for sharing. You hair and yourself are gorgeous.
“It sounded like it was gonna be a list but it’s not” 😂 I definitely agree with the bonnet and satin scrunchie tip! It makes a world of difference in your breakage and moisture retention. Really great video!!
New subscriber!!!❤️❤️ I love how we have the same hair so I can copy what you say tysm for making these vids ❤️
This was so helpful! Thanks curlfriend! ♥
Hi I love your videos and I was wondering if you have any vitamin/hair vitamins you would recommend for hair growth? And you are an amazing youtuber ♡
yessss been waiting for this!!! xx
I completely quit straightening my hair on July of this year. I trimmed off the heat damaged straight ends off. Now I'm just patiently waiting for all of this unevenness to grow out for atleast another 6-8 months and I'll big chop it again with your method! Your hair really grows like weed..
Tysm for this vid, your tips always save my hair. Btw can you do a vid on how to grow your hair with PCOS? Ik you don't have PCOS but you're good at researching so maybe you can?

thank you Lana, great tips, also doing curly look, hair grows but not fast enough, your hair looks great
Thanks for the great tips, Lana. I absolutely agree about hair color. I can't color my hair and keep it at its best either. Props to those who can rock color because it creates great dimension in curly hair, but it's just not for my hair.
Ok so I had longish hair that I haven’t cut since I was five then quarantine got me a little crazy so I cut my hair off like to the point I can’t even tie it so thank you for this.
lana u r the best,, more n more videos girll can u show us which type of vitamins been using plzzzz
Early 😄 love you and your hair is beautiful 😄
Every single tip you said couldn’t be any more accurate! Especially rice water is a blessing cause that shit works ❤️❤️ you’re hair is goalz!! 😭 & wigs are such a life saver for my hair!
Thank you for sharing your tips I have similar hair and trying to grow it longer and healthier right now it is armpit length I want longer never had my curls grow long before only when I straightened it
Speaking of diy hair masks when I run out of my hair masks and have to wait to get more. I take my regular rinse out conditioners and/or some leave in conditoner and put my favorite oils or such into a container for my diy hair mask. Works great.
Lol - I looked quickly and thought the video was entitled “how to grow long, curly hair by Summer!” 😂and I was like 🤥🙄here we go again lol but it’s by lovely LANA ❤️💯 great video and very helpful. Washing less is interesting...given our hair is weakest when wet and the benefit of natural oils I’m intrigued.
I love your vids! Some of your tips are so helpful; now I like to sit and snip off my split ends while watching videos. Do you have any tips for straight hair? Do you think it differs much from curly hair?
I just started my natural hair journey and found this tips to be helpful. Nice curly hair. I wish to grow mine these long and healthy

Just cut a bit of hair off Nov 17, and then started the cgm (I have 2b-c hair). I’m so excited to take care of and not cut my hair for a long time. I’m not even putting heat on for Christmas or my birthday so I can get my hair healthy again!

Do you have a favorite bonnet? I would love the link. I’ve been growing my hair out for about 3 years now and I feel like it’s going nowhere- even tho I know it’s actually growing- every tip helps!
Do you detangle when you refresh? The back of my hair always just turns into one big knotted mess if I don't do anything to it. And then I'll have to spend twice as long detangling on wash days
I love you. I trimmed my little sister hair bcuz it was damage but she moved and I had to cut some more . So I want her hair to grow Back longer and natural. Imma subscribe

Hi Lana! I noticed you said you go to the gym. Do you wash your hair after the gym or do you refresh your hair like what you explained. That is one of my biggest issues. I go to the gym and get all sweaty and then my hair drys and frizzes. I do not wash my hair after my workout everyday so maybe I will try the refreshing method. I would love to hear your opinion.
Just started my curly girl routine, Love your videos but do you have low porosity protein sensitivity? Scared of rice rinse but want to grow my hair longer.
Great tips, Thank you
Hi Lana could u please make a video on how to care for curly hair and scalp psoriasis at the same time?
Hey! I have a question. Are there things I could use instead of a bonnet for sleep?
FILM U CUTTING UR HAIRRR!!♥️
PLEASE film the trimming video!!! I need to cut my hair but I don’t know how to or what scissors to use!
I love your hair so much. I had to shave my hair because I was stupid and let my hairdresser into making my hair platinum and then blue. (I have natural extreme dark brown to black hair.) So, I gotta say I’m extremely envious of your hair length. 😂 I’m trying to grow my hair now. Washing just once a week with a good shampoo, using masks twice a week, and hair oils! I just want hair again. 😭
Notification squaaaad 😍❤❤
Dear Lana I have one question do u put ur hair in a bonnet no matter what even if it’s in a bun, ponytail because whenever I have a ponytail or bun I don’t sleep with the bonnet only of my hair is down.
Quick question, when you say that you wash your hair once a week, do you mean only using shampoo once a week and using conditioner for the rest of the days or you only condition and shampoo your hair once a week? I take a shower and use conditioner pretty much every day. However, I like never use shampoo. I hope that makes sense.
but m hair doesn't go down my back the side of my hair where my ears are growing down and the rest seems to be trying to grow down but overall I have shrinkage so Idk what to use for my hair
Could you do a video of how you put on your wig. Like do you put your hair in cornrows first then put on a cap over it? How do you do it with your curly hair?
I just wanna throw it out there that the Coco & Eve deep conditioner has silicones. Just in case anyone is following the CGM! Great video as always babe xx 🥰
You are super beautiful. Love love your skin tone. I know washing your hair everyday isnt good. Mmm but having a healthy scalp promotes hair growth. Greasy scalp gets clogged...need to wash when your scalp is oily. Also need to massage scalp. Look your hair is gorgeous......but i dnt think this will work for me. I guess it depends on each person. I get pimples on my scalp if i dont wash it every 2nd or 3rd day. So for me i cannot leave my scalp oily. What i do ...do is i put castor oil midshaft down before i wash my hair. Thats how i keep my hair moisturised. Clean scalp is key for hair growth. Im indian so my hair grows fast. Love your videos💘
Was the pumpkin hair mask a moisture or protein treatment
can you share the recipes for the diy deep conditioners?
I've been following your hair growth tips for some time now, and my hair has definitely grown, but it has also become more curly, so the growth doesn't show because of the new shrinkage I get XD
please do a video about how to stop hairloss i really need it thank u lana🌹
How often should i was my hair if i have an intense workout 1-2 times a week?
I have a question anyone can answer how can you tell if your ends are damaged
Do I need to cut my hair before using the rice water or will it work the same if I dont?
She absolutely knows what she is talking about it works
ok help me with something... I am black and white and my hair is so weird, most of my hair strings are thin and the rest is thick, but at the center of my hair its a completely different hair type, its thick and looks dry and it almost seems like it never grows any advice?
I love how she says sleep as I watch this video at 1 40 am
Thank you sooo much my hair looks good now 😊
Yes. Please post a trim video!
What about henna hair color? Is it safe for the hair ?
Also is it fine if you condition it every other day
What do you put in your hair
Your hair is so pretty I have curly hair but I straighten it sometimes and I wanna embrace my hair so I was like dang girl when I saw the thumbnail
Wigs...best advice yet👍
Any recommendation for wigs i am biracial hard finding wigs to fit and look right on me
Any tips for people that like to workout or run? I have to wash my hair cause i don’t want to smell like sweat or have greasy hair, help!
Should I stop washing my hair and just refresh my curls?? Pls answer I’m desperate I 💞 ur vids they help me sm

I'm in the process of trying to grow my hair out at the moment, but the wait is horrible haha. It's been about two years since I did a big chop and now my hair's almost past my shoulders. But when it's brushed out it's a little longer. Do you guys have any affordable product recommendations?? (Aside from the ones in the video haha) But anyways, love the video Lana! Keep up the good work girl! :D
