    Great information. I'll have to try stirring up the wax. That spatula is so cute! I always start with one cube if I'm not sure how something throws. I never put more than 2 or 3 cubes in because the oils near the bottom won't have a chance to dissipate ( I guess that's where stirring would come in handy). Swoop airlines has really inexpensive flights out east so hoping to head out to Nova Scotia again!

    Fantastic video Patricia. Thank you so much. I use alot of warmers, most are 25w bulb warmers. I tend to lightly swirl the wax to circulate, usually not til it's almost gone anyway to get the last bit. Do you think swirling will lift the scent? Do you find the spatula makes that much difference? Super video. Great idea. I may have a different question the next time I watch it.

  • @PatriciaG-NosetoToes

    Great video and advice! My only tip is talk and actually listen to a consultant like Patricia if you have a large open floor plan. It’s extremely difficult to get your home to smell nice without using an excessive amount of wax…. I’ve found leaving my element warmers on 24/7 and using a long lasting “heavy” scent that’s versatile (meaning it compliments most scents) helps keep the air saturated with scent and thus keeps my home smelling nice.

    Still great content as always, three years ago Patricia ! I have found that some very light scents benefit from being put in a “carrier wax”, a dead wax that is almost done giving up its scent. It’s weird but things like Graduation ,Aloha Citrus, Churro Churro, are stronger for me if combined with a similar, faded cube of wax. I don’t know why it works at least for me ….but it does! Especially in an element warmer.

    Well it sounds like having berries it might not be super long lasting. Maybe I shouldn’t get the brick after all 😝 How long is the Indogo Berrie lasting and how much are you using/type of area warmed...etc? My advice with some of the BBMB scents is to let them sit for a bit (weeks) and then revisit them. On occasion I have found the wax gets stronger with a bit of time.

    Well, it sounds like you have things covered. I go through stages where every wax throws well and lasts a while...and then I get a bunch that perform sub-par. Thunderstorm for me was very underwhelming, so you are not alone. One thing I’ve noticed with some of the newer wax (not all) is that is seems a bit harder in texture. I certainly hope the oil hasn’t been reduced. In My open area I’m happy with a full day performance. Just for the fact the scent dissipates in such a big area. You need a strong style of scent. It can be super frustrating and I wish I had better answers for you. Ultimately I rebuy what works for me and do not support waxes that are low performers, in the hopes those waxes will fade out due to lack of overall support.

    I am having great difficulty with smelling my scents! I have 9’ ceilings and have 2 warmers in 2 different rooms that are 13’ wide by 22’ long. Have Central Park Pralines in one room and in the kitchen I am melting Raisin Rum Cookie and Mochadoodle in 2 different warmers. I could smell CPP (2 squares) for the first hour and then nothing unless I was over the warmer & could smell Mochadoodle (which had a burnt, chemical smell in my new Prairie Pitcher warmer-did it scorch in the new warmer) and RRC (3cubes) when I have my head directly over the warmers. They have absolutely no throw! Everything is brand new-wax and warmers. I am so frustrated!

  • @PatriciaG-NosetoToes

    5 жыл бұрын

    Donna, let me start by saying there are days where I have experienced similar frustrations! I just wanted to clarify...we are talking 4 warmers in 2 different rooms? One suggestion I’d start with is keeping the same scent in each room. I also find Rum raisin cookie is on the lighter side so maybe not great for a big room. My best advice to get one on one advice is to contact your consultant and ask him or her for advice. That’s what we are suppose to do so they will be happy to help. There is such complexity to scent perception! It could be lots of things. Are you struggling with any older scents as well or just these new bars?

    Donna, I have a large house with super high ceilings. It is possible for sure for you to get throw from your wax but it will take more warmers and more wax. I was in your shoes before and more warmers will do it for sure so don't give up. In my kitchen I have 5 warmers because of the size and high ceilings. In my large bedroom that opens up to our large bath, I have 6 warmers. I hope this helps.

    Hi Patricia, great video! Question for you....can you tell me how many bar cubes would equal one chunk of a brick?? Can you put a whole chunk of brick in a full size warmer or do you need to cut up the brick chunk in half or more? thanks!

  • @PatriciaG-NosetoToes

    @PatriciaG-NosetoToes

    3 жыл бұрын

    Each brick cube is typically 3.5-4 cubes. You “could” put a whole brick cube in a full size warmer dish but you risk spillage since it would be overly full. Also a thick wax pool makes it harder for the fragrance oils that settle at the bottom of the dish to be released for you to smell. So much advised to cut the cubes into 1/4s,1/3 or 1/2. I’ll link my brick cutting video for you to watch kzread.info/dash/bejne/dmFoq6-kocu5paw.html
