Here is a demonstration of the sound and functionality of the Bass oscillator found on the Arturia MiniFreak.
The theme was created out of presets and crafted patches over an assemblage of fragments of GarageBand loops. For all intents and purposes, it is a MiniFreak-Only composition.

Yes absolutely. I just made my own 808 today. There’s also a drum preset for snare and high hat type sounds
I guess something must have been done to the sine and/or cosine wave before they're added otherwise you'd just get a bigger sine wave with a different phase shift?

@@automaticgainsay Just had a look at the manual which says: "These waves are put into a set of two modeled circuits: a balanced modulator for the sine wave, and a quadrature oscillator that mixes it with the modulated cosine wave." So it looks like one or both waves _are_ being distorted/shaped at some point. I'm not enough of an electronics geek to know what a quadrature oscillator is though! Edited to add: The important thing is it sounds good. :)
