Mind blowing

The fact that just yesterday i realize that i have 3 synth who its name starts with Mini. Minifreak , minilogue xd , mininova. And all are great.

Thanks for this video. It is fantastic. It was the last push I needed and I just got mine two days ago. However, I can't get my Mac &/or Arturia's Midi Control Center to recognize the minifreak. The MCC does not even display the minifreak in it's list of products so I can't upgrade the firmware and within Logic it says "The firmware must be updated". Any chance you encountered a similar issues and may have some pointers. (I've yet to hear from Arturia's support team)

Run the Minifreak VST with your Minifreak hardware connected. You will be able to upgrade

Are those presets availiable?

Will there be an update to this as Arturia did for Microfreak?

Hopefully, eventually. Saw an interview with the product manager who explained that some of the synth engines on the Microfreak needed to be rethought/rewritten to work well on the Minifreak which is why they’re missing right now but will return. Seeing how well the Microfreak has been updated I can’t imagine them not doing the same for the Microfreak.

Some of my favorite patches the volume is so low, even though the volume knobs are all the way up

I have rhe video going in car. Doesn't sound thin to me. Have one at home and it doesn't sound thin until i want it to.

Powerful and extremely flexible, great bang for the buck. But I'm left a little cold by the sounds.

That’s more of a “system issue” - try putting your laptop thru real speakers. I record ALL VST sounds thru an amplifier, using a microphone. FIRST. That way I get the exact sound in my head, because I grew up hearing everything but drums thru an amp first. I used a Fender Twin for a vocal p.a. more times than I used ACTUAL p.a.’s in the first 20 years of making music in a band. If I was to use these sounds live, they’d be going thru an amplifier. So why not record them the say way I’d use them live?

This thing is super versatile. I often run into the issue of the sounds being too thicc. nothing a little post eq can't help though.

Sounds great but the Synth does not look very solid. Can it survive a few gigs or maybe 3 years?

It sounds good because the person can play it.... I'm shite! I'd like it if they stuck with the capacitive touch keyboard. Maybe a thing for a limited run... 🤔

Well the microfreak sounds plenty good so why wouldn’t this ? Might not be everyone’s cup of tea though

Yeah, some of the synth engines from the Microfreak needed to be rewritten to work on the Minifreak which is why they’re currently missing. As a software engineer that tells me the architecture is different, enough to need actual code changes.

I heard stuff from this keyboard that was impressive....this presentation sounded like a Casiotone .... I can't get ANY of my 20+ synths to Sound this bad ....You guy's must be somekind of Wizards !? 🖖👀🖖

How does one make music and NOT know about Arturia. I started with the MiniBrute, and I’ve bought it all ever since. Arturia is where you need to be if you make music.

Increase the master volume and decrease the envelope delay and sustain. You can make just about anything pop

Sure, but still sounds squeezed. I don't know how that circuit is build up. It's like all the bad parts of digital synths in the past with analog control? Constrained/ squeezed were the best words I could come up with. In your words; the enveloipe does it's thing, but it sounds flat. I can't feel the envelope in the room, I only hear it.

It seems very flexible but doesn’t actually sound great Compared to Equator 2 for example

I had it for a while, it does not sound good, its very average
