12 Tell-Tale Signs Of A Cult • Is Your Community A Cult?

Cults can be very good at hiding that they are one and it can be difficult to identify a cult even more so if you are a part of one. In this video you'll learn 12 tell-tale signs of a cult to easily spot it. These 12 signs were described by psychiatrist Robert Jay Lifton. Find more information on his work here:
For more videos exposing cults click here: • How To Identify a Cult...
For years I used to have a lack of critical thinking myself. I used to believe many things which had little evidence or truth behind them. These beliefs led me to decisions which did not turn out to my favor. Eventually I discovered critical thinking and changed my life for the better. Now I choose what I believe in with much more care. Make better, more informed decisions and enjoy the results. Yet it doesn’t take much time to see that many people still fail to separate true information from false. That’s why I created the Practical Critical Thinkers channel.
If you are looking for a critical thinking channel - look no more and let's create a culture of practical thinking together!
In this channel you will learn what is critical thinking, various critical thinking skills, find critical thinking exercises, learn how to use critical thinking in a debate, learn about the best critical thinking books out there, find critical thinking tutorials what results a lack of critical thinking has and much more.

Spot on! A very accurate description. 🙏🏻 Sadly the cult tendency is increasing and they are profiting from social depression tendencies. 🙁

Good point. I also see a pattern that cults benefit most from people who feel lost and confused and these days with covid-19, unstable political situations, pressure experienced through social media, constantly being exposed to negative media and real social interactions decreasing - there's plenty of suitable candidates for cults to abuse unfortunately

@@Rokasleo I got paper and a pencil and started listening again to every point and I must tell you: except point 11, the rest was there. The first organization covered most of all and the second I was involved to,not the whole points but many of them. This is maybe the second one was a very small organization and doesn't have the enough resources (human or economic) to make this happen at a high level.

@@SelectCircle I believe modern news media number 1. Are so full of crap they know we know. 2. I think if we had at least a majority of Republicans who weren't dirty and compromised we'd know who our president is. But the news uses "science" and "fact" to substantiate claims. Fact checkers? Who decides who these fact checkers are? They use psychology on their viewers. They deceptively edit and have had to pay in court because of it, ie the covington case. They are in my opinion dangerous. Back to the Republicans they have resisted trump every step of the way. Im afraid the majority of them have sold us out to who ever will pay the highest. Im looking for a shred of honesty at the Supreme Court level.

@@jitsroller You have the traitors - the MSM Dems - the postmodern Marxists - devotees of the cult of the media - which in turn answers to the professors - academic priests like Hillary and Obama - to whom even the Squad bows ... however reluctantly. Then you have the Democrats who've recently #walkaway'ed from these crazy creeps - only to turn around and vote Biden. Then you have the RINOs - who are just appeasers. They'll appease anybody. And if you can make a buck at appeasing the traitors - why not? Then you have the Trumptards whose Democrat party abandoned them years ago and now they're scared - of EVERYBODY - and need a big daddy to love and follow mindlessly. Then you have my bunch - the Hard Right - the Ann Coulter wing of the GOP - true patriots and Constitutionalists. Two of these groups are cults - the Dems and the Trumptards. And they happen to be the dominant forces right now. So the rest of us are either stranded or stuck choosing sides. Oh - and did I mention the "false dichotomy" crowd - the truthers who may or may not admit they're Nazis - banking on the reincarnation of Hitler? They're not a cult - yet. Still too disorganized. And a complete wild card - of no use to anybody. All together - what a mess. Only God can shake this out.

Completely off topic, but is your stance on cryptocurrencies? Personally, I think this is a goldmine for critical thinking because the entire concept is a pure scam. If you bring this topic into a spotlight of critical analysis, you will open what might be the biggest can of worms of this century. Just something to think about...

Are you sure you understand well the technology behind at least some of the major crypto currencies ? There is a lot of mysticism associated with this and a lot of it is pure misunderstanding. The idea that started it isn't even remotely in the same lane with what became of it today.

  • @VoidedTea

@@velkoivanov9155 Oh, rest assured I understand the technology very well. But it’s not the technology that matters. It’s the idea that we can simply create financial assets or currencies from strings of random symbols on a computer. People who believe in this have no idea how economies work, and what gives value to financial assets. Digital tokens have much more common with casino chips and pyramid schemes that with financial assets or currencies, and any critical thinking analysis would be able to reveal this.

@@VoidedTea Crypto is not about value. It's just a public ledger and as such can be very useful. It's globally accessible, cheap, secure and extremely unfalsifiable. The meaning of the tokens and transactions that are recorded in the ledger is an entirely another thing altogether.

  • @VoidedTea

@@velkoivanov9155 You are confusing blockchain with cryptos. It is Blockchain that is the ledger, not cryptos. Sure blockchain can be useful, but I am not talking about that. I am talking specifically about digital tokens that are recorded in the blockchain and generally referred to as cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin of course is the mother of them all. Bitcoin is not the ledger, it exists in the blockchain, which is the ledger. These tokens have very little to do with currencies, and even less with financial assets. Yet, they are often presented as such. Critical thinking can easily reveal the fraudulent nature of these tokens.
