Being born and raised here and still living here the best food honestly is you becoming friends with someone who’s family is from here and going to they house or to a family event. You’ll get better than anything you can get in a restaurant here.

I also loved Morning Call for frozen coffee and beignets, Acme Oyster House for grilled oysters and The French Market had the best muffulettas
Good Video. I am a HUGE sushi lover. One of my favorite sushi restaurants in NO is Tsunami. Hands down, some of the best sushi in NO. For po boys I do like Parkway, but i also like Johnny's in The Quarter. There are several great po boys around. I like Erin Rose. Not necessarily for the Irish Coffee, but for their free pour drinks. I dislike the guns. New Orleans Cookery for Happy Hour is great for oysters, but there are some of the hotels/resorts that have better pricing. I recommend visitors to get out of The Quarter and go to Magazine Street for some terrific eateries. I am a big foodie, so I LOVE going to NO.
Dont miss Sarita's if youre uptown in New Orleans. Everything on the menu is home made from the hot sauce to the tortillas, the empanadas will leave you craving forever for another visit.
Hands down one of the best chicken biscuit sandwiches ive ever had. 😋

New Orleans, the only city in all the world known for it's own cuisine and it's own music. It is really hard to have a bad meal in NOLA. Cafe Du Monde is a place you must go to, sit, enjoy the coffee and beignets but also you'll generally get a jazz band performance while you're there.
my tow favs are Misparo's and Come back Inn..........
Cafe du Monde is always my last stop at the airport on the flight out. Why not Mother's? Great variety of poor boys and great breakfasts. This place is OG. If you like oysters, Acme Oyster House. OG Also OG is Commander's Palace. Not crazy expensive if you get their 3-course dinner. Must have the Creole Bread Pudding soufflé with warm wicket cream (only $11).
Try Cochon Butcher.
Man i thought for Port Of Call and court of 2 sisters would be on your list
Whats the place you said after willa jean's?
Jaquimo is the best hands down here in Nola !!
How about Brigsten's!
Guy's Po Boy on Magazine St
IDK if I'd go to NOLA to have sandwiches and sushi. I'd much rather have the 50 selections of oysters or crawfish or Vietnamese Cajun. I like experiencing the gumbo and jumba-
Commander's Palace?
You missed my favorite Jewish sandwich in the city: Stein’s food and Deli in Magazine St.

Places I enjoyed: Cajun Seafood(anything there is bomb) Southshore Grill (their breakfast biscuits) Rum House(Caribbean food-try the crab cake po boy with fried green tomatoes on it) New Orleans Food & Spirits(fried fish) Clover Grill(breakfast) Sammy's Food Services & Deli(the menu changes) I actually preferred Morning Call's Beignets over Cafe Du Monde's (always fresh where as Cafe Du Monde's were cold the times I went)

Yeah... Tip for anyone coming to New Orleans for beignets... 3 is definitely NOT enough for a normal person. I don't know what this dude's bird stomach is doing, but if you have an appetite, you can easily eat two orders (6 beignets). Also, Mikimoto SUCKS. You should definitely eat at Shogun or Rock & Sake or Tsunami or Daiwa or any Little Tokyo Location instead. Also, there are extremely good omakase locations in the city now as well.

Actually Cafe Beignet (on Royal) has been my go to for nearly 30 years and you don't have the hordes of people. A little disappointed that outside of the Bakery these are mostly the same places you see in most any NOLA food video. Get off the beaten track a bit. Lots of good Muff places but everyone says Central Grocery...because why ? Is it good, yep...is it the best...nope.

I’m a New Orleans native. While I live upriver a bit now, I’m there all the time. A few comments: 1. A native can eat a bignet, slathered in powered sugar - the only way to eat them - while wearing a dark blue suit in the middle of the summer and not show any evidence of powdered sugar. And really? No one here drinks hot coffee through a straw with their bignets. 2. I am glad to see you stuck to the trendy, touristy restaurants, or the old ones that have been overrun by tourists. We tend to avoid those (OK, Central Grocery excepted). Love Parkway, but there is a local haunt nearby (and closer to the flying horses for my kids) that is just as good and no tourists. As for where we locals eat… we ain’t tellin, hawt. 3. Rule of thumb for real New Orleans food: If the place hasn’t been there for 50 years, and looks it, don’t go.
Charleston, SC is better
Turkey and the Wolf is kinda over hyped in my opinion
Remember guys, just cause he says “it’s so GOD DAMN GOOD” doesn’t make it so…
