Hello there

I was working on an old 1800's church in 1975 and had to remove the "Keystone" to place it on the front of the new addition. A Keystone is piece of stone (white granite in this case) that has the building's dates chiseled into it. When I pulled it out I found a metal box behind it. I turned it over to the church and they found records and memorabilia from it's founding up until 1901 when it was rebuilt after a fire. The church members updated all of the info about the church and included current pictures. They even included a picture of me standing with the box and the Keystone, with a description of who I was and how the box was found. The new box was put behind the new Keystone, which was placed beside the old Keystone on the front of the new church addition. Who knows, maybe in 100 years someone will be looking at my picture and wondering about how life was "back then!"

Now I'm just wondering if there is any time capsules from years ago that no ones ever found and never will find

I remember we made a time capsule back in the school days in 1999 to celebrate the turn of the new millennium, it was supposed to be opened in 2099 we also planeted a ton of new trees around the edge of the school field, and the capsule was burried under 1 of those, I remember we put in a Polaroid photo of each each 1 of us, with a letter describing what life was like in 1999 and what we thought life would be like at the turn of the first century of new new millennium tempted to get a spade and go hunting for it 😀

I did a time capsule in my last house when i sold it in 2001! I was redoing the basement bathroom, i enclosed a small closet that used to hold the towels, enclosed it with a sheet of drywall, i put a news paper of that year and some other stuff, also do you guy's remember a box that used to have like someone inside locked up, and when you press the button it would say "help! Can someone get me out of here!" Lol i wrote my name on a note and and some words, and the year done! Hopefully the person who ever remodels the house, will find it! But in the next century! Lmfao!👋🤣👍

My uncle does the same thing when working on houses, we found an old ass coke bottle in a wall we remodeled.

We barried a time capselle in my school. We took a video of us in it, wrote stories and put a fidget spinner there (it was in 2017-2018). We put it in the buildings of our school. Edit: Its gonna be opened when they build the school again.

Me and my best friend are building a time capsule of little things and inside jokes from our friendship. We are gonna put it somewhere where we can remember but still won’t be able to open it if we get a sudden urge whenever we graduate. Then 20 years later we’re gonna come back from wherever we’re living then and open it up.

Man of the future: who cares about digging some past items. I'm gonna go in the past myself!

My school had a time capsule. It had been sitting in a glass box in the library. Last year we got to see it. It was all old stuff from 20 years ago

I found a time capsule under the lead roof of Westminster Abbey back in the early 1990s and the contents were drawings and papers celebrating the life and Funeral of Admiral Nelson. The lead box was put back along with new Abby restoration drawings.

There’s no way there’s gonna be flying cars but maybe tall buildings and better consoles
