How u make a video about taking the voice coil out without showing how to take come and everything else before the voice coil

Well… first I recorded various segments of the procedure. Then during the editing process I felt that pulling a sub apart was pretty straight forward and decided that the clips that involved cutting the spider and pulling the surround off the basket could be left out. I figured The focus was building a new cone assembly and because the videos start to get long…something needed to be sacrificed and I chose break down🤷‍♂️

No. I just pulled the surround off then cut the spider. To separate the coil from the cone I think I just pulled the kaption away then sanded it

@@christopherwingard7206 Kapton is trademarked product made by DuPont. it is a heat resistant plastic film sometimes used for voice coil formers.

I have a dual 4ohm L5 12” that needs voice-coils. How much for the repair? Located in WA state.

L5 cones are currently out of stock. Once they are back in stock (if ever) you can ship it to point Roberts so shipping is more reasonable

to my knowledge repair parts are not available. if you can salvage the cone and adapter collar then it’s possible but🤷‍♂️. shipping might make it not practical

And also… you might want to check out NARTaudio Dennis Dreddan makes hexagonal voice coils so your statement is incorrect

i just toss them in the trash . even the l7 motors are so small its funny . when people bring them to me i show them my low ball rebuild for same price .

🤷‍♂️. I’ll try to fix anything. I had to say no to an L7 because there is no dust cap making it impossible to shim the voicecoil.
