I bet the spray foam has made the structure so much more solid, although I have heard it can become a bad problem if there are roof leaks and the rafters rot without anyone knowing about it. Funny, I have a MEC 1932, great machine. I always wondered why you didn’t use one before. I also own the same Bosch table saw and a Makita LS 1013. Nice tools. When we raise gables, we put a 2x4 near the peak with one nail so it rotates. If the gable was12 feel tall, I’d make that 2x4 about 3 feet shorter and you can easily adjust for plumb and it’s a fail safe to make sure the wall doesn’t get away. Nice work.

That was a nice build. Beautiful location and a functional cabin just ready to move in. There's a roofing company that cuts metal roofing material on-site to fit the transition to the porch area without a break from the upper roof to the lower roof.

Great work! You are one smart builder. I've been in the trades for 40 years, and I'm sure I spotted only a few of your brilliantly efficient steps!

Wow, thanks!
That is a brilliant video showing a house build from start to finish. I bet the spray foam has made the structure so much more solid, although I have heard it can become a bad problem if there are roof leaks and the rafters rot without anyone knowing about it. I envy the people who live in that house, hope there is fish in the lake, can fish from the porch!
Man having a scissor lift is a real treat! Much more challenging without one! Looks great 😎👌🏻
What a beautiful house you had done sir…thanks for the video
I'm a long time Carpenter from California in the foothills, That looks like the old T 1-11 siding we used to hang back in the 80's. We have been using Hardy Plank now for the past 30-35 years or so. Beautiful job you guys I like your channel. Really nice touch with those batten boards I like the look! 👍

Love your work... Only suggestion I would have is to use rebar chairs to hold the slab rebar up so that it doesn't just wind up at the bottom of the slab.
Your professionalism and experience is stunning

Always keep your fascia board off from the roof to help keep it from rotting and to get your roofing underneath. Love your house
Just discovered you in your lake cabin build video. Loved it! Watched your video describing your history. Very moving. I wish we lived in NE Vermont so you could build us a home on a lake. Looking forward to watching your previous builds.

Nice work.

Engineered I-Beams are the best. Used them on the second-story floor of our home 30 years ago and not a squeak anywhere.
