{1123A} Why SMPS no output, Why Tik Tik sounds?

Ғылым және технология

In this video number {1123A} Why SMPS no output, Why Tik Tik sounds? I explained what was the reason when smps delta smps was not turning on / not working / no output voltage. it was due to MOV varistor CNR14D471K short circuit due to high volatge strikes or swelled line voltage, which caused to blow away fuse. i found smoothing capacitor with increased ESR which is the main reason to failing to hold charge. this was the basic reason for rebooting effect making tik tik sounds

Outstanding! I am an amateur radio operator and back in April, we had a power outage due to a snow storm. The power went on and off several times before going out permanently. After the power came back on, A terrible noise was on all different bands and frequencies up to 20 Mhz. Recently the noise stopped. I assume the switch mode power supply at my neighbors "died". Thank goodness! The closest neighbor's house is over 200 meters from here and I checked with an am radio to determine the source of the noise. I think it was even going back into the power lines because I could still here the noise all the way down the street! I think an arching MOV would create a LOT of noise, and it's before any rfi filter in the circuit. Take care!

I'm working on TCL TV. There is stable 24v and 3.3v. at the standby light led board there is 3.3v stable but led doesnt glow. Occasionally it can light but then go out when I try to power up? With stable voltages , I can't imagine what part is the problem? Any ideas to check?

6:53 i have a question, if this power supply provide a 400W for example, what will happen if i connect 400W lamps in total? Another question please, if i want to restore this psu into service after this fault is it better to replace all electrolytic caps? Thank you very much 😊

220V/100W Lamp is connected on 220V input, not on 24V output. If you connect 400W lamp on input, the chances are the supply won't work at all due to voltage drop on its input. Even if it starts, the small load on output will shut it down due to input under-voltage. Recap is always a good idea if the PSU is old or used in harsh conditions. If the PSU is relatively new no need to change all caps.

@@miroslavstevic2036 i mean, if its rated for 400W and there is short circuit, using 400W lamp will prevent the Mov from smoking? This what i meant. Thx for the reply

@@Solder_it 400W lamp will lower the short-circuit current through the damaged MOV. Only way to tell will it smoke is to actually try, otherwise it's unpredictable (depends on the MOV damage).
