Great material, quite a few takeaways (even though I haven't finished yet). I would have used this recently: 'to cave in', had I known it. 'to take the high road' - had known this before but forgot it. One request though. These long episodes are difficult to take. Shorter episodes are more inviting, while longer videos are very likely to be skipped. KZread doesn't always continue from where you left off so it is a bit frustrating to have to find the last idiom you've watched. Smaller chunks, please.

In Polish the world "grilling" started to be used (mostly by the internet community) for verbally abusing someone, which imo was a result of mistranslation from English. Actually we have more such weird words revealing cultural differences or resulting from incorrect translation - for example "onion" (after the onion - fake news) became a slang word for a social anxiety. This video is very interesting to watch, even though I would be reluctant to use the phrases in Europe, because I'm not sure if it's the same in British English.

Hi Kayla. I have already emphasized that you are one of the best KZreadrs who teaches idioms. Refreshing them today, I decided to make such a comment. I allow myself to disagree with one of your opinion. You advised us never burn bridges. However, I do it from time to time and I feel great afterwards. Because there are people around everyone who do not appreciate a person, but only figure out how to use. Feeling or seeing this, I burn bridges with such "friends" and I recommend everyone to do so. And I do believe that many people have been doing similarly.
