11 Year Old Bjork Reads Nativity Story On Icelandic Television
In 1976, an 11-year-old Björk participated in a Christmas special for Icelandic TV station RUV in which she read the nativity story while accompanied by music played by fellow students from the Reykjavík Children’s Music School.
I do not own this material, merely feel the world of KZread should not be denied of this brilliance - this clip is courtesy of RÚV, The Icelandic National Broadcasting Service www.ruv.is

this is cute overload. she looks WAY younger than 11 though.
She is older than I thought she is 54 now and has not changed much, bjork is one of those creative artists doing her own thing, I respect her for that reason , much like Kate Bush, lady gaga etc
She’s so cute! So poised and confident. No problem looking into the camera. Saw an interview with her where she said her mother didn’t like taking her on the public buses when she was 3-4 years old because she would stand on the seat and sing for everyone on the bus 😂

@Semitotal: You're quite correct! Icelandic folk have unique hair, and they are born with a full head of hair in a style which they retain for life - it doesn't change. They never need to cut it, so it's a bit like a permanent wig. It does change colour as they age, though.

@@519forestmonk9 Well, I don't know where you live, but in Australia we used to have school bands and orchestras from a young age right up to the end of high school. But, in the last 30 years or so, the various governments no longer believe in funding music the way they once did. It's very sad, and a _huge_ loss for modern children. Plenty of parents still push their kids toward excellence, so it's more a lack of opportunities (at least here).
